Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Contact swing is great when you are down inmthe count and are looking to foul off touch pitches. Its also really helpful when you just want to put the ball inplay. Say, runner on 3rd less than two outs where anything in play will get the run home.
The biggest difference is the timing window, with contact you have a greater window to hit the pitch and with power you have the least. Hope that helps some.Moderator

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I always use Normal swing period, the Power swing for me always produced more fly outs that what it was worth and found I could do just as well or better with the Normal swingLast edited by BSUFAN; 05-08-2014, 10:25 AM.When you come to a fork in the road, take it..... Yogi Berra

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Is there a way to actually hit and run? Every time I try, my runner slides into second preventing me from advancing him."Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes."Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I have a few questions if someone can help me out.
1. Does the show on ps4 have more records than the usual from the ps3 version?
2. Does it have an archive system in place, do that after I play 3 or 4 seasons I can go back and look at what happened again in 2014 season?
3. Does the player cards keep more stats? Much like what you'd see on the back of a baseball bubble gum card? I hate the fact that on th e ps3 versions it only holds 4 stats going into the next season. Also for guys that didn't reach the majors in the season does it keep their minor league stats? Does it carry them with over to the new season?
*High Heat Baseball back in 2002 had this style stat tracking and it really helped the depth of the game. It also helped to see how my guys were progressing not just from their rating but from production on the field.
Thanks.Last edited by Skyflame21; 05-08-2014, 11:08 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Wanted to see if anyone else has seen this.
Play at the plate on a ball hit to center. The throw arrived before me, but to the 1st base side of the plate. I slide feet first into home. The catcher catches the ball out in front of the plate to the right but his back leg reached back in the path of my runner.
Anyway the catcher caught the ball but never applied the tag, as he was in no position to do so in time. I slide across the plate and make contact with the catchers leg and am called out. Is this a bug? Glitch ? Or just something that has always been in the game?Last edited by Gerg04; 05-08-2014, 11:34 AM.Comment
