Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Hi All,
Noticed something last night and wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong. I was trying to breakup a double play by sliding into second.... when I flicked the thumb stick down I slid into second but the runner going into first also slid. I've also noticed it on other running plays that when I go to slide that all the players running the bases seem to slide not just the runner I have selected?
Just wanted to see if anyone experienced this or has any suggestions? Thanks!Comment

Yes I also experienced this!
I could have sworn that I specifically highlighted the runner going to 2nd base but still the batter also slid into 1st."When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
I figured out how to actually make a profile for those that havent (i know someone yesterday didn't know either). When in the Franchise menus (might be able to in main menu havent tired) Go to options, user settings, save changes, then create. Before i had to use beginner and experience to set up my 30 team control. Doent really matter i dont think just thought id let you know.Comment

When should I rest players? Currently my 1-8 lineup has about half of their energy bar depleted, should I consider resting some for a game or two?REDSKINS & WIZARDSComment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Has anybody had a problem with CPU pitchers throwing NOTHING but their dominant pitch?
I got the game last night after a 14 hour workday and just fiddled around with it for a little while but didn't notice if it was going on then.
But today, I have played 3 games and every Grienke threw nothing but his X button 4seam-fastball, Lohse his X button sinker, and all relievers the same.
In additon, my catcher is only calling my dominant pitch as well. It is taking away from the fun of the game because even though the locations slightly vary, it's still the same pitch every time.Comment

Not an issue for me

This. And is the dynamic difficulty only an option in Franchise and how exactly does it work. Sorry if I missed any discussions about it, just got the game. Any links would be helpful.
NEVERMIND...found the DD thread. But DOES changing sliders turn off DD??PS5Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
Lots of varying schools of thought on this. I rarely use power swing, and all of my Homeruns have been hit with normal swing. Power swing gives you a smaller PCI and you really have to square the ball up.
Contact swing is great when you are down inmthe count and are looking to foul off touch pitches. Its also really helpful when you just want to put the ball inplay. Say, runner on 3rd less than two outs where anything in play will get the run home.
The biggest difference is the timing window, with contact you have a greater window to hit the pitch and with power you have the least. Hope that helps some.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
You will get prompt when your staff thinks a guy needs a day off to rest...I hate how some players even young guys are out of energy every 3 or 4 games (I just put those guys durability up to a reasonable number so they can play pretty much every game because a guy doesnt need a day off after 4 games in real life)Comment

Re: MLB 14 The Show Q & A (PS4)
^^^^ I wish they would make separate ratings for durability and stamina (obviously pitchers have a separate stamina rating but for position players...)
Getting injured, and having the ability to be an every day player with no dropoff in performance when healthy, are 2 separate things.Comment
