Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but does anybody know why my download is taking so long? I've been downloading it since it came out and I'm only at 78%.

I'm guessing because your internet speed/connection sucks. what is your speed upload/download?

When using pure analog hitting is there a way to select between power, regular and contact swing?

Yes, hit circle for contact, x for regular swing and square for power. If nothing is pressed it defaults to a regular swing.

Do I have to hold down (circle, x, square) while performing the analog swing or just press the button once? Also is there any feedback on the screen indicating the current active swing type because I looked and did not see anything?

It says my download speed is 2.50 Mbps and my upload is 0.69 Mbps, but usually things don't take this long.

yea that is really slow, when you say usually i'm assuming you have downloaded a digital copy of a regular game before i.e NBA2k14? I ask this because The show is a huge file, and alot of people compared its long download to a lot of the free games that are not complete AAA titles like outlast for instance which downloaded much faster due to smaller file size

are you using wifi, if so use a cable and connect it straight to the modem should speed up your download

I am having problems fielding in franchise mode. I can control my hitting and pitching like always, but I can't throw and have little control over my fielders. If anyone has figured out how to have control fielding in franchise games, the help would be greatly appreciated.

You just press the button, there is no visual feedback telling you what you picked. You have to press it before each pitch if it is anything other than a regular swing.

No visual feedback, but there should be a vibration when you change from 1 to the other. In past years the vibration was much more noticeable, but this year it seems to be extremely subtle, so you might not even have noticed it.

Is there a way to view how many strike outs, hits, and balls a pitcher has given up in a game? Is it only in the box score now? In previous years, it always showed it on the select quick menu.

Yeah, it looks like it was removed sadly.

Just figured it out. You can see it when you hit the up directional button in game. It shows under the score display on the left.

The right directional button shows pitch strike %'s. Pretty much the same as L1 and R1 when on the select menu.

I'm trying to turn the mlb.com ticker updates totally off, even in menus. Went i to user settings, and presentation , have everything from the in game ticker down turned off. But that ticker is still there in menus? anyway to totally turn this off? thanks in advance.

I preordered from Amazon on Sunday night, and it said they'd email a code within 2 business days of either when the order was placed or when the product was shipped (don't remember) for the PS4 controller skin. The game came in today, but I still haven't gotten the e-mail. Anyone else preordered from Amazon?

Pre-ordered the game about a week in advance. Received my promo-code email on Monday (5/5/14). Check and make sure it didn't go to your junk box, or it might just have not been mailed yet.

Haven't got the game yet. I always use automated baserunning. In previous years I could still tell a baserunner to steal. Is that possible this year? Sorry if this has been dealt with already, but this is a very long thread to check through!
