    Definitely.

Even at over 1000 players, this is why they should simply get the process started. Build on it year to year. Scan 200 players this year for MLB 16. Scan 200 more players the following year for MLB 17, and so forth. And now you're up to 400 players over a span of 2 years. Or if they can scan 300 to 400 players per annual development cycle, the quicker real faces makes it into the game. Now you have a facial/head replica library at your disposal that can be used for future generation consoles and future MLB the Show releases for this current generation.

The main reason I would like to see real head/facial scans is because a lot of times, I honestly can't tell who the players are in MLB the Show unless I read the name on the back of the jersey. I mean if you do a video game to real life side by side comparison, you may finally realize who it is, but as a stand alone digital character, often it's difficult to tell.

And on the contrary, you would actually save time and there would be less work when you scan in player's faces.

Head/facial scanning would actually cut down the amount of work and time in the graphics department. You really believe doing it the old way, where an artist goes into the graphics software program and sit hours on end trying to create an athlete's likeness from photographs is more time efficient?

      Work smarter, not harder.

Smarter = facial/head scan (more accurate, more realistic). Do it once, and you don't have to spend more time each year trying to retouch player's faces because they're accurate.

Harder = trying to create a likeness from scratch using available photographs (less accurate, absolutely more time consuming). Every year, I would assume the graphic artist goes through the faces and do touch ups.

"In order for an artist to go ahead and use any avaialbe photoreference that we have, it would take them approximately 6 days to create a likeness. Now we get an automated result in 45 minutes. It's really cut our time spend down, but at the same time exponentially increase our quality." NBA LIVE 15.

NBA Live 15 Head/Face Scanning Technology - More Accurate Realistic Faces. Quicker. Less time sitting at a computer screen.

No dude. It takes money to do all those scans and put them into the game. It's easy to just scan a picture on a program and make a likeness, if they even care about a likeness. Mostly they they get the height, weight, and skin tone and randomize faces.

Better graphics would be the big one as far as improvements.

Question: How many times can a MLB player be optioned to the minors, and called back up to the majors?

(Note: I typically don't care much about all the behind the scenes stuff, or minor leagues, etc. I currently have a player (John Jaso; Oakland Athletics Catcher) in a funk at the plate. I'm considering sending him down to the minors, but it also says something about using one of his options... How many option does he have? Hypothetically, can I send him up and down between MLB and AAA every single week if I wanted? Trying to get a feel about how the option system actually works.)

Players start their careers with 3 option years. (you can find how many options years he has left on his player card)

To answer your question simply, for this season, you can send him down and call him back up as many times as you see fit this year. Once you use an option year, its good for that season.

I could go into more detail, but I think this is suffice for the question you asked.

Also.....keep in mind that a player on the 40 man roster .......that goes through Spring Training and does not remain on the MLB team when the regular season starts......uses an option.

I mean I know it's not as accurate but why not have a system like madden/ea had back on the old gen where u could select a photo and facial scan it.. That would be extremely helpful to even roster editors.

Would changing a players number reverse his progression? I made a trade and Bryce Harpers number was switched from 34 to 35. I really want to change it back but I wasn't sure if it reverse the progression. I know If I go into edit him the little + he has on each of his progressing attributes disappears. Thanks!

I have a question that will probably make me look stupid but I can't figure it out for the life of me.

I want to create my own roster and get rid of all current players like a fantasy roster. But every time I do it it gives me a 25 player limit on creating players. And it won't let me edit current players names. Does anyone know how I can completely rebuild the rosters.
