Props to any of you who have found success with the Braves. I'm in a quick season with another guy and I chose them at random. This team is trash. I have to grind out any runs I get and their bullpen is horrendous. Glad that we're only running 10 games in this one.

Props to guys who play every game for at least the first season.

I always get to mid-late May and want to get to the ASB so I sim a couple.

I feel like next year I could do it. I'd like to. Quick Counts is a blessing.

Idk how they do it. I go through each person in the rotation and simulate 5 games and I've still only made it through no more than two rotations or 60 games in the season. But I've only played 10 of those.

It's definitely possible. Another reason I've quit is because I get unrealistic stats so I start over or something but with QC there's more realistic ABs and such.

I think MLB 16 is the year I could do it.

Re: MLB 15 Franchise Progress Thread

Considering Moving Garza as well, just placed him on Trade Waivers.. If I get a good deal, I will take it.

Otherwise, I will most likely move him in the offseason.... It is going to be a long winter, now especially since I have decided to tank the rest of the season in favor of rebuilding.

The 3 year contract is tight, but next year will be the Transition year.
Currently I sit on Sunday, August 23rd ready to begin the month of September (September Call-Ups). I am predicting September to be ugly as I will be testing out different lineups and players who normally would not play, in addition to possibly converting LR's to SP/SP to LR's as well as possibly moving some of those 1 pitch specialists SP's to possible late inning duties. Shintaro Fujinami has not worked well in a Starting Capacity but has been lights out in two Long Relief appearances, allowing 0 runs of 6 1/3 innings.

The Plan for Year 2 may be ugly as well as I will focused heavily on Development for my top tier prospects, working to train them in the right areas, place them in the correct levels for them to succeed and get better. I have already decided (at least for now) that these are the players I do not plan on resigning:

              Plouffe
              Ramirez
              Lind
              Smoak
              Molina
              Estrada

In addition as mentioned before; I have tentative plans to move a few players to other organizations in the offseason:

              Garza
              Terdoslavich
              Shafer
              Peterson

I'll keep you posted on the latest runnings of the ailing Milwaukee Brewers, but thanks to good General Managing Decisions (in my opinion) I have given my team a fighting chance to be World Series Contenders by Year 3, hopefully MLB 16 THE SHOW is where I will see this come to life as I predict I will be about halfway through 2016 by the the time 16 comes out with Y2Y.

                Marlins End of June Report

                Player Development News:
SP Quinn Williams continues to impress in AAA, as he's done pretty much since he set foot at the level. He posted a 1.66 ERA in the month. If nothing else, this could sweet his potential trade value.

SP Michael Mader did well in AA as he continues to show promise. He posted a 2.25 ERA with 38 K's in just 32 innings of work.

SP Steven Wright's attempt to return to the majors took a step back with a poor June, perhaps his worst showing. He put up a 6.62 ERA.

                Team Performance:

The Marlins went a paltry 13-15, though it could have been worse after a 1-5 start to the month. Still, even saying they went 12-10 is not very impressive for a team that supposedly is a contender for a World Series run.

The team has lost 4 of its last 5 as well.

The offense continues to be a problem. The team scored 5 or more runs just once in the last week, going 2-4 in that span.

The Marlins still cling to a 2 1/2 game lead over the Nationals. The Braves are in third place just 5 games out, and the Phillies are 5 1/2 games out.

                Player Notes:

Chris Davis continues to produce a dominating season. He's batting .325 with 25 HR and a .608 SLG.

Chris Taylor is also doing well at the top of the order. He's striking out a lot but he's hitting .305 and, more importantly, he's getting his doubles and triples groove back, especially triples as he now has 7.

Christian Yelich is warming back up, something the team desperately needs. He's back over the .300 mark in batting average and shooting line drives into the gaps with 19 doubles to match Chris Taylor for the team lead.

Ben Revere's acquisition has yet to pay off. The speedy outfielder has seen his average drop under .240. Some of it has been "bad luck" but he's also not had consistently good swings.

Will Moyer seems to be repeating his second half swoon of last season. He's done very little at the plate, perhaps partly due to him hitting in the #2 slot. He may be more comfortable as a bottom-of-the-order hitter.

                Top 5 Prospects:

                1. Hunter Harvey, SP - This 23-year-old continues to show steady growth and could be in the Marlins rotation...or some other rotation...next year easily. Probably could handle duties now.

                2. Stan Brito, 1B - This young slugger is continuing to fill out his body and add power. The problem is that he's not adding much contact, discipline, or vision at the plate just yet. He's still just 20, so there's time. The Marlins may want to work on his training regime, however.

                3. Lindsey Robertson, C - Blocked from moving up by Will Moyer, Lindsey is still working hard at the AAA level. Most of his value will be from a good gap-power swing and being a solid receiver. His arm looks to be average overall.

                4. Tyler Kolek, SP - Tyler continues to struggle with his control and consistency. That has hindered his move up to the AAA level. This may be the year this big righty turns the corner as he's dominating Jacksonville hitters with a .205 AVG allowed and a 2.61 ERA. He also had 135 Ks in 107 innings.

                5. Curtis Anders, CP - Curtis was a trade acquisition earlier in June and is currently getting acclimated to the Marlins organization in AA. He changes speeds well, which is helping him survive by inducing poorer contact. That pitching instinct at a young age is what has scouts projecting this kid highly.

                Honorable Mention:

                6. David Sohn, 3B - Tremendous power vs LHP

                7. Will Bullock, SP - Relies on movement and deception, but lacks control.

                8. Carlos Rodriguez, IF/OF - Plays almost anywhere, but needs to refine his defense as a result.

                9. Damon Vogel, CF - Very raw, so hard to predict what he might turn into, but scouts think highly of him.

                10. Michael Made, SP - nothing really stands out with Michael, but there's nothing particularly weak either.

Well, it was a fun season, but looks like my Cubbies are just about out of gas. In a mid-September series in the City of Brotherly Love, we were swept four straight by the Phillies, and none of the games were even close. After a bounceback win in Pittsburgh on September 15th, Wada came out Wednesday night the 16th and laid an egg in another Cubs loss. Chicago has lost 5 out of 6 on the road trip which concludes Thursday afternoon.

Trailing St. Louis by 2.5 games at the end of Tuesday night with no real shot at the Wild Card, the Cards visit Chicago in a last-gasp weekend series at the end of the week. That bullpen had better get it together real quick-like if they want any chance at the sweep.

Season-ending injuries to Kris Bryant and Addison Russell have not helped matters.

Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!

Just finishing up the regular season. I have a 7 game lead over the Nats with 8 to play. Currently at 87 wins. I unloaded Howard, Franceour and Dom Brown before the trade deadline and picked up my future catcher in Tomas Telis from the Rangers and a lot of other prospects. I also signed Josh Reddick to play RF and picked up Jhoulys Chacin to add to my rotation. Both Darin Ruff and Freddy Galvis have been on the DL for a couple of months and the lose of Ruff has really hurt my offense since he was having a good year. The offense has been sputtering lately but the pitching has been great. Dustin McGowan has been the biggest surprise so far this year with a 15-7 record and an era under 3. Should have the division wrapped up soon and off to the postseason!

This happens to me every year I get through April and May but when I hit June I just hit a dead end. My players stop hitting I get impatient, CPU starts the ninth inning comebacks and I find myself restarting franchises about 5 times. What ends up happening is I lose interest in the game and move on. I just really don't know what to do with this game anymore since I have so many other games I want to play.

The Red Sox are world series champs! Pedroia won the batting title (.331) Cueto the Cy Young, Eduardo Rodriguez the rookie of the year. Mookie Betts won playoff MVP and Haley Ramirez world series MVP. I redesigned the 2016 to keep it fresh:

SP- Chris Sale, Jose Fernandez, Eduardo Rodriguez, Clay Bucholz, Henry Owens
BP- Henderson Alvarez, Tanner Roark, AJ Ramos, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara, Drew Storen, Craig Kimbrel

                        CF-Mookie Betts
                        DH-Joe Mauer
                        2B-Dustin Pedroia
                        1B-Paul Goldschmidt
                        3B-Nolan Aronaldo
                        SS-Xander Bogaerts
                        RF-Rusney Castillo
                        C-Blake Swihart
                        LF-Jordan Schaefer

Bench: Jackie Bradley Jr, Christian Vasquez, Brock Holt, Jonathan Villar

It's near the end of my season in my 'chise. The O's have caught me in the standings with just about two weeks left in the season after I dropped two out of three to the Mets.

I have a few series against some bottom feeding teams in the AL so I hope to recover against them.

Check out the finish to the season at the link below.

The 2018 season has reached the All-Star Break.

The Marlins have fallen out of first place, thanks to the continued floundering of the bats. They now find themselves 1 game back of the Nationals and just two games ahead of the Braves and Phillies. The Marlins hold a 48-41 record at the Break.

The worst of the week leading to the midsummer classic came in a four game sweep at the hands of the Dodgers. The Marlins scored 3 runs in the 4 games. Horrible.

July has started off at 2-6, much like June's 1-5.

Chris Davis is trying to keep the lineup going by himself. He's leading the NL with 27 HR and batting .329.

This continual slump is stoking the fires under the front office personnel as well as manager Don Mattingly to do something to get the team out of this rut.

However, with the only notable hitter on the trading block being $25 million man Evan Longoria, the Marlins will have to work the phones to try to find someone to pick up that would help the team, especially since it's SS and 3B that's the weakest points.

Manny Machado has been connected to the Marlins on rumors that the O's would listen to big offers for him. However, the Marlins have pitching and the O's look to have a young rotation in grooming already.

The O's have said they have no intentions of trading Machado. Anonymous sources say the teams have talked but could not get past any preliminary stages.

Donovan Solano is almost ready to return, so Campos can move back to 3B, at least until Carlos Santana returns in a week or two. Santana hasn't been entirely consistent either, especially vs RHP.
