Switching my hitting to broadcast has helped me tremendously. You can read every pitch with ease....

Plus you can read what pitch is coming if the pitcher doesn't do a good job at hiding his hands...

I'm not sure if this is me finally getting used to it or the camera but I'll switch back later and see if the improved recognition sticks.
So I tried this all over the long weekend and I'm happy to say I'm able to bat .260 - .300+ with a very good hitting (rating wise) RTTS player regularly. I'm going to try to pull out the camera at some point but I really thing using E Offset Zoom helps. I even made a few pitcher pay for putting a Curveball over the plate (normally I would have swung way ahead of that).

It feels about the same as last year, if not a bit easier. Pitches are a tad easier to pick up. The biggest issue is BABIP. I've been playing a lot online and I will square up pitches and strike twice or less per game and only have 6-7 hits. I am constantly hitting around .280 BABIP....

Its not just batting it pitching to. This game is just a lot harder this year. In the past I have been around a all star hitter and around the same with pitching. Right now I am on my 6th game with DD and I am still at rookie for both hitting and pitching and I just gave up 7 runs in only 4 innings with bumgarner lol

I disagree. Pitching seems easier, especially with the ball trail. I feel like I am pinpointing online.

While I don't use the ball trail but in the past I would never give up like 7 runs in a game on just rookie and with a star pitcher to. Maybe this game has just been a odd game as I had a game right before where I had a shut out. But I figured after 5 going on 6 games with the DD set at 10 I would be up to veteran by now.

I've been playing RTTS with dynamic hitting (button style) and I'm in AAA for my first year, hitting over .400 on Hall of Fame right now. Also, I hit tons of foul balls, so I'm not sure why some aren't hitting many foul balls or are struggling to hit, unless you're using analog hitting.

Changeups are extra filthy this season.

I have come to the conclusion that I was just getting off to a slow start with the game. Have been having some pretty good games lately. Hitting and plate discipline has improved.

Ok so after having a hard time hitting on just rookie on DD I just lowered the pitch speed slider back down to 5 had it at 7 before and I end up having 23 hits and won 13-0 lol. I guess I just need to have it at 5 at least instill I get more used to this years game.

All of my solid contact seems to be going exclusively to the opposite field. My stats seem to be okay and I'm getting an accurate amount of hits per game, but I can't seem to pull anything to save my life.

I use zone and I had a very quick bat last year. I turned on inside fastballs like it is nothing and now I am struggling lol. I don't get it. I was playing on 10 pitch speed too.

I'm with you here man, I'll go full games without pulling a ball, I'm always late on the swing, doesn't matter if I use 8 pitch speed, 5 or 4. Timing or Zone, the result is always the same...

Maybe the directional hitting is stuck in the opposite field on position.

Same thing here, I'm using directional for basically just timing hitting and anything hit solid is normally to the opposite field. Even if I get the "Good" timing notification it still usually results in a whiff or a little dribbler/pop up.
