This is a very temp fix. It will make them able to go deeper into games, with their pitch count, but it will do nothing to address the glaring issues which is how quickly they regain stamina after days off.

Wouldn't it allow you to throw 90+ pitches and keep a lot more of your stamina bar? As long as you didn't "use" the extra stamina and throw 130 pitches, it might help a lot.

But, if you look at it from the other way, it would work, temp or not. If you move the slider to 10 at the start of the playoffs, and still stick to a strict pitch count for your starters (IE 100-110 pitches) then they would still have somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 stamina left after their first start, and would probably be around 3/4ths by the time their next start rolls around.

It makes it manageable at least.

This needs to be fixed in a patch though. I mean, I understand it was "intentional, and not a bug" but it is backwards. Teams use 4 man rotations in the playoffs, and sometimes 3 man rotations (I believe the Yankees used a 3 man rotation in 2009 when they won the WS.) The way it is, with default sliders, it is IMPOSSIBLE to do so.

Not a bug this was changed to help facilitate 4 man rotations and the fact that your SP have all just pitched all those innings throughout the season.

Maybe I didn't understand all Russell wants to say but as everybody else in the thread here I have to see this is maybe the biggest headscratcher I have met so far in this series

Russell's statement seems counter intuitive. Surely this needs to be addressed asap. The logic just seems wrong.

Maybe I didn't understand all Russell wants to say but as everybody else in the thread here I have to see this is maybe the biggest headscratcher I have met so far in this series

I wonder if the genesis of this idea was the developers themselves or a suggestion from the community.

Yeah "we did this to facilitate 4-man rotations" is directly contradicting the fact that this is causing people to have to use 6-man rotations lol.

If this is working like its supposed to, then it was indeed a very bad move, and horribly done. Like I said in another thread this almost makes me want to just give up on the game. Because knowing this happens after grinding through a whole season puts a real damper on the whole experience.

Yea I'm feeling the same, just baffles me why an how. If you really want to implement anything like that do it properly and not in such a lousy way. Yea the game is great, even more I'm surprised. However I won't get to the postseason in any of my serious franchises before The Show 16 drops anyways so it's not as devastating. Really

Hmm that is interesting. I'm starting to wonder if the game doesn't account for off days in regards to pitcher energy/stamina. Seems to work properly for position players but not the pitchers.

I'm pretty sure it won't, no idea what got into them though. Hope they'll reconsider it for next year. Otherwise no point in playing franchise anymore to reach the postseason if it's screwed up like that.

Pretty sure this issue would be way bigger if more ppl had reached the postseason yet cos this is an issue hard to ignore.

I have not reached it but from what I have read I don't really want to get there now! I have only just started watching baseball through this game (from the UK) but I find the logic wrong. Surely if in real life teams use 4 man or sometimes 3 man rotation then a system that seems to prevent you from realistically running that does not make sense. I just do not see how this cannot be tweaked.... Other than this I absolutely love this game... Best sports game I have ever played but knowing this will happen is really quite annoying!
