Re: Online Franchise
I'll add in my input. I feel like the same thing happens in 2k as it does the show. There are no micro-transactions that can take place in these leagues so the importance of fixing a mode that doesn't make them more money throughout the cycle of the game is something they probably don't care about.
I've tried to get multiple people who play the game offline to join online leagues who don't because of how poorly their experiences have gone in the past with online gaming or these online franchises. Madden is the pinnacle of giving you everything the offline version does. I think the Show does pretty well but it's just the little things that get tough to swallow because, and I'm not saying I understand what goes into changing things, but little things like stamina, schedules changing and getting playoff seedings right for Round Robin leagues is really frustrating. It can take people right out of the enjoyment when it feels like you're getting rinse and repeat options year after year.
Leagues are a great way to break up playing randoms who want to bunt or people in DD who invest a bunch of their own money to make stacked teams. It's nice to have something closely mimic real baseball in an online version with your friends. I hope at some point soon they do take a deep dive into Online Franchise and clean up some of the bugs and missing things they have. It doesn't have to be all at once, but a little progress would at least give us reasons to keep having hope.Comment

Fix some things that play a role in the team management of things, stamina should play a role as should injuries, the least we can ask for amongst other things.Chicago Bulls•Toronto Raptors•Carolina Panthers•Toronto Blue Jays•Toronto Maple LeafsComment

I understand the business. I understand the Show dev team is small. But I still dont accept the reasoning behind Online franchise going untouched. Only X amount of players play it. That's because many people wont put up with the issues. Big issues.
A big one is injuries don't work in sims. So in a franchise with 4 people, the CPU players never get hurt. So everyone plays 162 games.
Stamina does not work for position players. Which again leads to every starter playing 162 games. And bench players not even getting 50 ab's.
And progression. By a few years in, nearly every pitcher throws 99+ because velocity can progress. As does players speed. This was fixed in offline.
Lastly, editing players. You can't at all in online. So youll have double #'s. Players wearing weird stuff etc..Last edited by eric7064; 03-07-2017, 06:16 PM.Comment

Re: Online Franchise
I also wish that Online Franchise would get a little more attention. Like someone said before - Madden does a really nice job with their connected franchise. I know a few people who don't currently buy the Show that would if Online Franchise was updated.
Also, another part I like of the madden connected franchise is that you can do an online created player type of franchise. Me and a few others will create a qb and see who can bring their team to the Super Bowl or who will win mvp. I think it would be cool if the Show could somehow add a feature like this. A sort of online mode where you can race your friends to the show. No idea how scheduling would work and advancing through the season would work though.Comment
