Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Currently 3 games back of the Yankees with a month until the all star break. I have already made the deal talked about earlier where I got Josh Hamilton, ChiChi and Rua from the Rangers for Dickey, Tepera and a low c prospect. Now, last thing on my wish list for the deadline was a top of the rotAtion ace. I want to trade this package to get one:
Pompey+Pentcost+Hutchinson or Loup or another similar player.
What SP could fit the bill for this package? I was looking at Teheran (sp.) from the Braves of one of Cleveland's arms. I am drawing blanks on top starters that could be available. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advanced.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
If I was you with the Pads, I would continue the blowup and load the farm. The Kimbrel trade was a good start and I'm sure you can get a good amount of prospects by making a few trades. Ross has the most trade value on the team. I would say he would fetch at least 2 good prospects and 1 or 2 lesser prospects.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Judge would be included in any package the Yankees could offer for Arenado, but I'm gonna assume you don't want to part with him.
Fairly, and somewhat realistic (since they're trying to get younger and save money) you could get Judge if you ate one of their big contracts. That would greatly reduce the cost of a straight up Judge prospect swap.Comment

I think that'd be enough for Strasburg. Can only base that on what I've heard though."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
So what would be a good package for judge then? Wouldn't mind taking on CC if needed. Don't wanna move CarGo, Nolan, Castro or Brendan RodgersLast edited by kenp86; 04-05-2016, 11:01 PM.Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
You'd be taking on ~50 million of dead money in CC and that would definitely reduce the price. I think McMahon or Dahl would be too much honestly. Probably someone like Raimel Tapia? If the other guys in here think that's not enough it shouldn't take much more, I probably add a high C level prospect.Comment

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
TLDR; Want Price without giving up Norris (71, B). Willing to include Max Pentecost or Sean Reid-Foley instead, both B potentials in premium positions.
To Jays:
P David Price
To Tigers:
C Max Pentecost/P Sean Reid-Foley (sub 60 OVR, B Potential)
P Matt Boyd
P Jairo Labourt
What of value are you willing to trade? You can't say you want the Yankees best prospect and say all your valuable players are off limits...Jon Gray? Trevor Story? Jeff Hoffman? Ryan McMahon? Have to include some value to get value.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread
Tapia and a low B type of arm for Judge? McMahon and a small piece? The Yankees wouldn't deal Judge realistically unless it was for an MLB proven player. That's why I suggested Arenado, as he's pretty much your only fit with NYY.
Those are probably more fair offers than realistic, if that's what you're going for.
Very true. They'd have to be way way out of the race to do that. I mean, they have plenty of money, but shedding $25MM for 2017 salary to make a push for someone like Strasburg would be worth it.Last edited by k_mac; 04-06-2016, 12:50 AM.Comment
