Josh Phegley and Tucker Barnhart could be added to that list too. Lower end, but wouldn't cost much.

Thanks. I will try for Susac. What about Carlos Ruiz? He shouldn't be too expensive.

      My proposed deal to SF:
Trade SP Ryan Borucki (66/C) plus 19 yr old's CF Reggie Pruit (61/C) and C Francisco Mejia (46/C) for Susac (71/B), SP Mike Kickham (62/C) and UTL Juan Ciriaco (53/C)

Why give up that much? Just flip them Mitch Nay or Matt Dean or something.

Hi I'm playing as the Astros and I'm looking to upgrade my starting pitching I'm looking to get a high velocity pitcher because the Astros don't have a guy that can throw high 90s. I would like to swap one of my current SP to get one, preferably mchugh. I don't really care if they are older or younger.

          Thanks

If it's the deadline and the Nats are clearly put of it, Strasburg is the obvious rental.

The Astros definitely have the prospects to get a Tyson Ross or Carlos Corrasco deal done. If you don't care much about realism, target Danny Salazar. He's not really at the Corrasco level, but he's 26 and they have team control until 2020 so I don't see him as someone that gets moved irl.

Thanks. Done. Thankfully I made that trade before Martin went down for 3 weeks with a hip issue.

Okay I am 1 week into July. I am 2.5 games back of a wild card. The teams in my way are Tigers, Red Sox and White Sox. I have a series against each team this month so I am ready to go all in.

I have settled on Cashner. Would Pompey + SP Tom Robson + UTL Juan Ciriaco (B+high C+low C) be enough? I think the price listed for him as a rental would be B+C+C. Or would I have to give up Pentcost as well as Pompey (another B)?

Secondly, since I am going all in I am thinking of 1 more trade. Would I be able to get Josh Reddick from the As? They are well out of it. I was thinking of sending Dwight Smith Jr + Aaron Loup + Matt Den Dekker. That would be a B+C+C as well. Reddick is hitting .270 with 6 HR and 19 RBI. He will be a free agent at the end of the season.

I will definitely deal for Cashner but I am undecided on going after Reddick. If his price is much high than what I listed. I was also thinking Jay Bruce but with Hamilton on my roster I don't have cap room for Bruce this year.

Overall, I may just trade for Cashner and ride out the season. Possibly make another deal if needed in August if still in it rather than making 2 big deals in July.

Like 32 year old Juan Ciriaco? No, the Padres have no need for that at all. I wouldn't sub Pentecost in there either, as they have Hedges and Bethancourt backing up Norris and both are very young. I'd look at something more like Pompey + Hollon + Robson/Perdomo. Just because your 30 year old guys have matching potential to fit in a deal doesn't mean they're good for the team you're trying to give them to.

Secondly, since I am going all in I am thinking of 1 more trade. Would I be able to get Josh Reddick from the As? They are well out of it. I feel like a broken record, but no, Loup isn't a guy you send to a team that isn't competing. Den Dekker is kind of in the same boat, I'm sure if the A's are that far out of it then they're not going to want your cast offs, they're gonna want prospects.

Shouldn't take much more than Dwight Smith (if he's a B) + Robson
/Perdomo if you really want Reddick.

I will definitely deal for Cashner but I am undecided on going after Reddick. If his price is much high than what I listed. I was also thinking Jay Bruce but with Hamilton on my roster I don't have cap room for Bruce this year.

Thanks a lot. I will do the Cashner deal that you mentioned subbing the old C prospect with the young C prospect and think about going after Reddick in a few weeks!

Isn't "old prospect" a bit of an oxymoron? lol

Ok thank you. It's still pretty early so I don't think I'll go after strasburg. I really like Corrasco so I'll probably go after him.

This is probably very unrealistic but I was looking at Ventura. It would cost more for Ventura then for corrasco right?

I would like to package something around McHugh or Fister.

                      Thank you.

Id like to revisited the Archer to Cubs. After playing with Schwarber a little on Diamond Dynasty there is no way Im moving him. Is there any other combo I can move to the Rays for Archer? Soler, Baez, Hendricks?

It would probably take a deal around Bregman or Reed to get Corrasco because of that super team friendly contract. The Indians have no real need for Fister, and I'd say they would want a package of prospects before a McHugh package.

Ventura, probably not, unless the Royals are way out of it.

Yeah there's more combos out there, the Cubs are loaded. Soler + Baez + Hendricks would work.. Soler/Baez + Hendricks + Almora + Vogelbach maybe? Heck, you could probably get a small piece back from the Rays in either one of those scenarios.

I think any deal the Cubs make bringing in an ace type pitcher under team control would have to start with someone producing at the MLB level. I'd say Russell as a headliner with Baez playing short.

I don't think the Rays realistically do it unless they get a premium piece back. I don't think they value Baez as highly; what were the offers rumored, Moore + McGee for Baez + Hendricks?

Yea he is on a 6 year 34.3 MM contract if you include his 2 option years. If not it's a 4 year 14MM contract. No chance they move him for less than Schwarber + a Soler/Russell/Baez. He finished 5th in CY voting last year and that was probably due to his team not doing too well last year.
