The only way that would work is if Loup was in the MLB putting up those numbers and not AAA.

He was putting up 2.26 in MLB level but lost out due to some good competition and a crowded situation

Do the Padres need another once all-star? Not exactly sure what their outfield is with Kemp and Jay. But a Shields for Gardner deal would be fun. It honestly just depends who is still in, but has extra pitching and needs an OF.

Amazingly I was thinking about Shields from the get go. I want to see how he pitches this season and by the All-Star break I may make a move for him for a pennant run.

I will post a proposed deal here for him as well as others when the time comes.

Planning on doing a rebuild with the Padres. i want to work on their farm system. i have Margot, Renfoe, Janikowski as OF. Three young short stops where i hope one breaks out.
What kind of return could i look for from the trio of Sheilds, Ross and Cashner if i choose to move them. Also what could Matt Kemp be worth if i were to move him at the deadline.
I would like to focus on young pitching and defensive players to fill my infield.

Shields and Kemp aren't going to get much of anything. They are both underperforming and on horrendous contracts.

Strasburgs Value is dependent on how well he's pitching. If he's throwing like he was the 2nd half of last season then you could probably get a nice package centered around a top tier prospect for him.

Once OSFM drops will be doing my yearly Red Sox 'Chise. If in it still in July will more then likely be looking for pitching. Red Sox have great catching depth so.... What are some pitchers that may be available for a package centered around Blake Swihart? Appreciate any feedback.

If you're going for realism, Vasquez is more likely to be dealt at this point that Swihart.

I would have thought that going into the year, but it seems the sox have cooled on Swihart with the call-up of Vaz today. I think they likes Vazquez's ability to handle the pitching staff. However what are some starters a package centered around Vazquez could return?

I don't know SD's needs too well. But I know Ross is out there to be had. I'm sure Swihart or Vazquez + a low B and C level prospect work.

They have tons of catchers honestly. Norris, Hedges, Bethancourt. Not a good match.
