Bird is out 1-6 days due to his BP injury, bruised bicep. After the last game, he will still be available for pinch hitting!

Garrett Richards sure is something else. Improved to 4-0 on the season going his furthest yet. 7.2 ip 5 hits 10ks and a hunter pence solo hr allowed in the 8th. Santiago Casilla earned his 9th save, and now owns 21k's 0BB over 9.2ip. Final score 4-1.

Split the series with the Cubs. Lost the final game 7-4 peavy and the pen just didn't have it today. Off to New York to play 3 against the mets before a much needed day off Danks, gray, and Hamels face off against Tyler clippard, Jeff neimann, and Matt Moore.

Lost the series opener 5-6 in NY. Scored 3 in the ninth but just couldn't pull through. Think I'm done for a little bit. Played 14 games today! (Nice to be off haha)

Are you guys doing manual training / scouting? Or have it set to auto? I'm doing auto at the moment, but when I get back on today I'm thinking of doing everything on my own.

I'm manual scouting/discovering.

For training, I manual train the better/core/key players and prospects unless they are veterans (not many on this team). For example, I'm leaving Dickey and Ichiro on their own. Bourjous as well.

For prospects - if the prospect is C or lower Potential or is very raw, I'll leave them on their own. For B or better or guys who are close to making it/could be useful if C, I'll manual train and try to knock off some weaknesses or maximize strengths.

That makes sense. I was thinking the majority 25 and key prospects for training.

Meh - oh well, not restarting. It's even more fictional anyway being a fantasy draft...aside from the Rockies not being able to pitch. That's been pretty realistic *sigh*

After dropping the last two games Sonny Gray rights the ship in the rubber game against the mets. It was also Greg Bird's first game back from injury. Gray went 7.2 scattering 5 hits and allowing 2 runs with 9 SO as well. Bird went 2-3 with an rbi and 2 BB. The game was tied going into the 3rd, when the Big Red Machine woke up and exploded for 8 runs. The mets had a major injury in the inning, to #5 hitter and second baseman Neil Walker. Walker is out for the season, but was batting .304 with 2 hr and 11rbis. It's Cole Hamels vs Matt Moore with the series tied at 1 and a much needed day off next.
