Looking to start my new franchise in an underrated beautiful ballpark. Any ideas? Not looking for the PNC Parks/AT&T, I know those are great. But what else? Really intrigued by SafeCo

Great American is nice. And you can sacrifice drafting insane hitters, playing 82 games there. I really enjoyed playing there. Hit 20 hr's with Greg Bird alone in 60 games! And the classic Red's unis are always a nice touch. Plus those black or all Reds.

I think Petco looks really good in The Show.

And of course, I don't mean to sound biased but

Kauffman, Busch, PNC are the most beautiful ballparks in the show.

I've decided on Pittsburgh, that view of the city and the bridge is just too much.

Re: Official MLB The Show 16 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread

The Red Sox are up to a 6-game win streak as after a 5-0 trip through the rotation, Chris Sale battles through having less than his best to allow 2 runs in 7 2/3 innings of work. He threw 110 pitches and induced 4 double plays before being lifted.

Jays had one last rally that chased Sale. They got Sale's second walk and then a single. Chapman comes in and the first batter he faces results in a bobble by Carter, which led to an error to load the bases.

Champan wasn't phased. He struck out the next batter to get out of the 8th. The Jays got nothing on Chapman in the 9th. This seems to be the thing the Sox are doing...Chapman for the 8th and stay in for the 9th if in can for the longer-than-three-out finishes (and potential saves) and Familia for the more traditional chances. The seems to be how Farrell is trying to keep both guys placated.

Offensively, DeShields got to show his speed in Fenway for the first time, legging out a triple as he got a ball out just short of the triangle. Sano continues to crush the ball, hitting another home run, as did Chris Carter, showing opposite field power, launching one out past the deep part of right field.

Jorge Mateo got his first career hit...and infield single. He promptly stole second, showing off his wheels. He's getting some time while Simmon nurses a nagging foot injury. Mateo also had a bobble in the field, but a quick recovery and a cannon arm still got the out.

Boston's defense has been a problem lately, committing 5 errors (all fielding) in their last seven games.

Taijuan Walker will look to keep the win streak alive.

              Kickin' it with the Padres

              A San Diego Fantasy Production:

We are set to begin the 2016 regular season after perhaps the most eventful offseason in Major League Baseball history. With Manfred and ownership deciding that Major League Baseball needed something fresh and new, he elected for an organizational re-draft of all 30 Major League Teams.

Zach Roberts was hired by the San Diego Padres to replace A.J. Preller after a horrendous season in San Diego.
Roberts and the Padres had the 8th pick in the Re-draft and he had no hesitation with who he was going to select.....
Roberts went with pitching, as he had the opportunity of a lifetime..... to build a team from scratch.

Roberts took Chris Sale, Stephen Strasburg, and Kris Bryant with his first 3 picks of the re-draft.

              ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fast Forwarding through Spring Training, the Padres land on Opening Day 2016.

The Padres will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers to open the Historical 2016 season in Petco Park on April 4th, 2016.
Padres fans will get their first chance to see the new faces of their organization.

Roberts as few would question, named Chris Sale the Opening Day Starter while also announcing Stephen Strasburg on the 2nd game of the season, the 5th.

Roberts, along with Manager Andy Green also announced the Opening Day Roster on April 1st.

Re: Official MLB The Show 16 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread

Boston makes it seven straight wins, thanks to some late inning heroics.

Walker also didn't have his best stuff, and he tried to battle through it, but the Jays weren't going to let that happen twice. They took advantage of the youngster's lack of command with a 2-run HR by Ackley and then a couple innings later, a 2-run double by Blackmon.

The Sox had a 2-0 lead on the strength of a Gallo RBI single and a Gallo solo home run, but the Jays' rallies made it 4-2 in favor of the blue birds.

That score turned when Kolten Wong ripped a gapper to right center that went for a 2-run double to tie the game.

In the next inning, Schwarber finally showed his power, crushing a pitch to dead center field to give the Red Sox a 6-4 lead. It was his first home run of the season.

Familia would work two outs in the 9th (Tazawa got the first out as Familia was a bit late getting up), to pick up his 4th save. The bullpen again iced down the opposing bats and give the Sox a chance to rally.

The Red Sox are now 8-4 and have taken the early lead in the division. They will shoot for the 4-game sweep with Finnegan on the mound against Holland.

Notes: Chris Carter finally took an 0-fer. He had started the season with a hit in all of Boston's games, but in this one, he went 0-for-4...Sano's streak is still alive at 10-games...Boston fielders make another error...their sixth in eight games...Buxton has gone ice cold and has seen his average drop from the .300's down to .189...

Personally, I went with the best selection of jerseys. Having a nice plate view is sweet, but you only get it half of the time. And for me, it also depends on who I wanna get in the first round. I knew I wanted to build the team around Carlos Correa, and the idea of him wearing a Twins uniform felt odd to me for some reasons. But with a Cleveland Indians uniform, he looks awesome !

Great way to look at it.

I almost went with Texas, because I wanna live there when I get outta college, but that reason isn't enough. hmm

Tch...set your pitching and hitting camera to a behind-the-catcher view. :P

If you like the scenery and can hit from it - why deprive yourself of it and not pitch from it?
