And then just toggle game mode on and off as I need it? I just don't want to be messing with calibration every time I want to watch a movie. I don't mind toggling game mode on and off though.

That's all you need to do. And, if you put use "apply picture settings select "current source" and you'll be good. The tv will automatically turn on game mode when you use the PS4 or Xbox and switch back to movie when you switch the source and go back to cable or something else. Unless you use your consoles to watch movies then all you have to do manually switch game mode on and off whenever you want like you said.

I actually just noticed this now. The tv seems to switch to game mode while in movie mode when I fire up the pro. So I guess I'm good to go.

I use the oneS to watch movies. PS4 is just for gaming so hopefully I don't have to touch anything.

Question for the 4K/monitor guys (this isn't about a specific product so I think it can stay here):

At what point do you reach diminishing returns with 4K on a smaller monitor? Even at 1080p on my 23.6'' I'm rarely distracted by jaggies (though I can see them in faraway details at times). 4K just seems like it would be overkill for a monitor that small. In the case of the Show, those faraway details are often blurred out by depth of field effects anyway.

Any thoughts?

I will just say this (because I've gone into greater detail in the gaming monitor & PS4 threads).

The difference from my 1080 24" BenQ to my 4K 27" LG is quite significant.

It's by no means a must have option though.

I am definitely getting ready to upgrade to a 4k monitor. Just waiting for the right model and right deal to come across.

LG is releasing a 4k, HDR10 monitor with decent response time sometime soon. I think I saw that it is gonna be 999 bucks at launch. I could be wrong but I think it is the first HDR10 monitor

I almost just screwed up royally. I had no idea that u have a better chance finding a unicorn then a PS4 Pro and I sold my PS4 thinking the Pros would be all over. No Best Buys, GameStops or WalMart had any. 1 Target had 2! I had to overnight it from Best Buy which was lucky cuz even BBY couldnt order it from their store.

Yeah, when I bought mine a few weeks ago no one had them except GameStop. I've seen them come and go quickly at Walmart though. In fact, they have been getting a bunch of slims bundles with COD and they are gone as fast as they get them.

I had no idea, as well. I haven't monitored the stock situation since getting it st launch

I wouldn't be surprised if Horizon and The Show are contributing to a surge in sales. Two amazing PS4 exclusive games that take advantage of the Pro
