So I figured I had a sure way to stay at one position, SP. 4-1, 6 games.. 1.35 ERA, averaging about 7 IP - nope, got called in and now I'm a LR. Come on San Diego Studios. This games giving me a head ache. As experience shows me in 1 or 2 weeks I'll get called in and they're tell me the pro team has a need for a LR and it's the quickest way to the bigs. Colorado needs starters.. Man.

Just accept it reluctantly, and you will be back at your original position after about 10 games. I've done it on all 3 of my players and all 3 have returned to the original position. My SP, 1B, and my CF. My CF occasionally plays LF, but in ok as long as I get on the field. My SP got called to closer. I actually wish he would have stayed a closer. I had a blast my time there.

Hey, I'm a 1B lol. I dislike DH also. I haven't been put there yet luckily. I'm left handed in real life, so I for some reason always make my player left handed also. So it limits my positions as I try to stay real. The only out of the norm player I made was a 3B and got moved to 1B.

Hey, I'm a 1B lol. I dislike DH also. I haven't been put there yet luckily. I'm left handed in real life, so I for some reason always make my player left handed also. So it limits my positions as I try to stay real. The only out of the norm player I made was a 3B and got moved to 1B.

Totally get that. Well hopefully the situation changes or your agent can fix it. Jesus, it almost feels like real life of a baseball star lol. Keep us updated. I hope they get you back on the field soon

I wish I saw this thread a month ago when I started my RTTS. I'm glad I tried this mode, it's surprisingly fun and immersive. The new (to me) things SCEA did to reduce the time between games and streamline time between appearances make it a thousand times better.

I don't like that I can't control my team or position though. I'm stuck in RF for the Reds.

The Reds are really bad.

I also don't like how quickly I got called up. I would have liked to beef my stats up in the minors and jump into a starting role in the Majors, but instead I'm in this awkward stage where they need me at the MLB level in my first season but I'm not good enough to really take off or do anything.

Loving this mode overall though. I've barely even played franchise mode this year, which is very unusual for me.

I normally roll with the boring combo of 4FB, 12-6CB, slider and CH. My 5th is usually something like a cutter or RFB.

Personally with yours I might be inclined to grab a sinker for attacking low in the zone or go with the boring slider to attack the hands of lefties or low and away breaking out of the zone to righties (assuming you're a righty). If you're more inclined to pitching to contact I'd take the sinker. For power the slider.

Probably put it back to the boring you get to pick your team and position. No more guessing what will happen next. I hope they didn't dumb it down. Will be interesting to see and hear what they did.

You can still control most outcomes with how you interact with manager. Truthfully, I wouldn't mind being able to have a little bit more control. Like now....I'm playing RF for the Braves in year 3 of my RTTS... I wish I had a little more power to change positions without it negatively impacting my status with the team. Like a move to LF or CF. The only thing I hate about RF is the wall at Sun Trust. You have pretty much zero opportunities to rob HR. You can only do like the below....
