Did you re-sign with the Reds? I'm a pitcher with the Reds too and I'm 7-3 right now but we're dead last in the division. Was thinking about leaving because I get zero run support. Most of my wins are because I've pitched smart and tried to get ground balls and fly outs but the wins I get are usually 1-2 run games. Just not sure if I want to go back there when the season is over.

I also gave up Andrew McCutchens' 200th HR at PNC Park in the middle of a bad outing. I just hung my head in shame as he trotted around the bases and the crowd went crazy.

I was a little surprised when they offered me a 1-yr., $1.3 million contract as their ace. I'm only a 72 OVR. I added a slider to the 4-seam fastball, curve, and change in the spring.

I'd like to play for a more competitive team but on the other hand, they did offer a nice contract.

Hey guys I have a quick question. I try to keep my rtts as realistic as possible stats wise. I play on All Star hitting and my average is normal but I hit too many home runs. I turned power down a notch in the sliders and then my home run numbers were fine but I couldn't get any other type of extra base hit. I've also tried playing on HoF but then I can't get a hit to save my life.

I'm wondering what sliders and difficulties you guys use? I feel like I'm close to getting it down where I want it but I'm not sure how to perfect it.

I'm still with the Reds. I mistyped that. I finished the 2017 season and have about two months left in 2018. At one point I was 3-7 but won the last two games to improve to 5-7. I share your frustrations. 2018 is shaping up a little better (second to last in the division instead of last) but this team is still very bad. It's aggravating to pitch well only to see your team squander your efforts. No lead is safe with this team.

Yes! It's so frustrating! I did manage to win NL ROY but I can't tell you how many leads we blew. The last 2 starts of my first season almost cost me. I pitched 8 shutout innings and left with a 3-0 lead. Next thing I know, the cut scene pops up and the Pirates are celebrating. Then my last start against Boston I went 6 shutout innings and got pulled and we lost again. I finally told the pitching coach that I was frustrated at the blown leads. The manager then called me into his office. I got smart with him too. Lol. Then I told my agent I may want a change of scenery. Next thing I know, the Reds offered me 3-years, 2.3 million. Still waiting to see if a trade offer comes through though. Not sure I can go another season with that horrible offense.

I just left a game at Yankee Stadium with one out in the 7th and a 5-1 lead. I had a great game, striking out 11. I thought for sure I'd pick up a win.

Stop me if you've heard this one before. 6-5 loss. Thanks, Reds. By the way, your chili isn't that great either Cincinnati.

Just hit for the cycle for the first time this year. Did it all in order, with the HR coming in the bottom of the 9th, while we were already down 4-11.

Ended up losing 7-11. But I'm still pretty excited.

My luck has been that anytime I've been one away from the cycle this year, id get walked >_<

                Question for RTTS pitchers?
                I haven't made a pitcher since 09'

What are the most important attributes you focus on developing first?

I did a create a player with averaged things and he turned out to be a 94 ovr I feel like this games rating scale is weird

The ratings scale is really weird. My RTTS guy is a 98 overall. He has 3 attributes over 90, the highest being a 96. He has like 7 attributes over 80.

It's based on position. Certain positions rate higher for certain stats.

Don't know if it was mentioned before. I just broke the hit streak record in my rtts. No acknowledgement and no special rtts interaction afterwards either.

That's a bummer. The only two big milestones I reached in rtts in previous years were the single season home run record and 3000 career strikeouts. The announcers at least responded appropriately to them as did the fans and teammates, especially for the home run record. You would think they would have something like that for all of the major records or milestones. I always thought the hit streak would be incredibly difficult and even more so because of how the CPU manager likes to use rtts players to pinch hit from time to time. Mess up that one at bat and bye bye hit streak.

I focus on k/9, h/9, and stamina first. However, I use the full five bars in velocity when I first create my pitcher, so that's one less rating I have to worry about. I figure I can control my pitches fairly well just by being good at using the pitcher interface (I use analog), so I don't need much bb/9 or control right away. The k/9 and h/9 help to shrink the CPI of the CPU hitters and makes them miss or make weak contact more often. I like stamina to help me stay in the game longer, be able to get out of jams later in the game, and just not worry as much about my pitch count. It sucks when you pitch a great game only to get lit up because the manager keeps you in too long. It is also nice staying in the game longer so you don't have to worry as much about someone from the bullpen coming in and giving up your lead and the win. I am sure you could have success building your pitcher a different way, but I have done well doing it this way.

Im in my third full season as LF at the Dodgers, been going well, halfway through May and I get an email saying that since J Ullman is back from injury, I'll be sitting on the bench. But I've started since I came up from double A, so two and a half years, and more importantly, there's no Ullman anywhere in the Dodgers system. I don't field during the regular season, so I'm not certain I've been playing a different position (if the win animations are anything to go by, I've definitely still been playing LF). I'm in the top 50 in all the league leader categories, top of the league for stolen bases and top 5 for average, so I doubt it's performance related. Anyone else had this?

Got promoted to AAA with just three weeks left in the season and hit around .310 in that handful of games compared to over .400 in AA. I always hit between the 3-5 spot and was striking out a lot more and getting a lot of pitches very low in the zone so it was tough. After losing in the first round of the playoffs I progress to season 2 and they decide to make me lead off hitter for some reason.
First at bat of the first game of the new season and I crush the very first pitch for a HR to opposite field. Talk about a good start to the season!
I proceeded to go 5-5 with 2 HRs, a double, 4 RBI and 2 SB... best game of my young career.

Question for you guys, I've tried to find it on here but couldn't.

I would like to start my RTTS with a created player. I imported a ken griffey jr from the vault but he does not show up when it's time to select my player.

                                Am I missing something?
