Stats change throughout the game. Positional player fatigue does not. Plus I guarantee a manager has a up to date stat sheet, tendencies, etc. for all of his players and opposing players to look at best match up etc. during the game which is essentially what ratings and stats are in this game. He doesn't have a little bar next to each player to tell them their fatigue level though. He most likely decided before the game who he wanted to give a day off to and who was available to play.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
The prices are actually crashing pretty hard right now, thanks to the longer than usual server problems. Equipment is like the gold of this stock market though. Year to year it's usually pretty steady. I would say it usually follows a downward trend throughout the year on an inverse exponent. In layman's terms, it'll get cheaper, but the time you have to wait for the same savings will continue to increase.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Is there a way to quickly see the batting order of the batters you are facing as a pitcher? I can bring up the quick menu that shows who is at the plate, on deck, etc., but I would like to quickly see what the batting order is without digging into the Box Score.Comment

1. Why are you mentioning stats?
2. Fatigue doesn't change during the game? Imagine a slow player legs out a couple triples before the 5th inning. Do you really think he has the same fatigue level as when the game started? What about a game that's gone into the 15th inning? Do you really think the catcher is at the same fatigue level as when the game started? What about all the other position players?
You're trying to make an issue out of something that's not real. Your argument is that fatigue should not be shown in-game because it clutters up the screen. Meanwhile, there's countless player ratings all over the screen in whatever menu you look at. They don't change either, so by your logic, they should be removed, too. And if you don't think player ratings should be removed, then why do you take issue with one more thing on the substitution menu, namely the fatigue bar to the left of the player name? I don't understand how adding that one part to that one menu would clutter up the screen so much that you feel like you need to make me feel like a bad manager if I don't write down all of my players' fatigue levels before each game.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Unless something has changed, I thought if you just pressed start to open the normal menu during a game it should have the hitting teams lineup on there somewhere. I could be wrong but I know that is how it was in the past.Comment

I hate to continue this here because I know it's no longer a Q&A issue, but I'm scratching my head reading your post.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
In real life, would a player's fatigue level change, of course. In the game, I am pretty sure it does not. He will have the same energy level he had at the beginning of the game. That is why I am saying it is unnecessary to have it in game. If you think a guy is too tired to play at the beginning of the game, then he is probably too tired to play later in the game, other than maybe pinch hit. Now the length of the game, or how many innings you play a player, does effect how much energy the player will have the next game, but I do not believe it does anything during the game.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
I'll check tonight. This is in RTTS. I am a starting pitcher and I've looked for a quick way to see the batting order of the players I am currently pitching to and I haven't found an easy way to bring it up on the fly.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
True, fatigue doesn't change during the game in the Show. But neither do player ratings. So, why are you against adding a fatigue bar to one of the menus when there's so many player ratings cluttering up most of the screens? I'm just trying to figure out why you're OK with one and not the other.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
Because I use player ratings almost every game to decide who to hit against certain pitchers, who can come in to sac bunt, who can steal a base, etc. I decide before the game who I want to sit due to fatigue, and only play them as a last resort. To me it isn't too difficult to remember, oh my starting 3rd basemen isn't playing today because he was tired, I probably shouldn't play him unless I really have to. To me it is not something that I find necessary to have in game, pregame definitely, but I don't have a need for it in game.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
How can you view the Player of the Month awards? Is it an email message? I know this must seem like a dumb question, yet when I look at the awards sections in both Franchise and RTTS, it's not there as one of the ones you can toggle through (same area as MVP, Hank Aaron award, etc.), nor is it a separate menu option when you are the prompt for Awards, All-Star Voting, and so on. Thanks for the help!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Q&A
I have never played DD or RTTS, so I really am ignorant to those modes. But, do players actually pay money for items so their character can use them in the game? Or is the currency your Experience Points?Comment
