Thanks. I'll be honest, I don't really get any lag when playing. I'll find a way to film my Vita and television at the same time so you can make the comparison for yourself, but RP is glorious for me.

Like I said though, so far just a bit "choppier" on Pro. I'm not referring to framerate, I'm just referring to occasional hitches. Like the connection is less strong with it or something.

      Very informative thread.
After reading it i finally gave in. PS4 pro is arriving tonight.

Had one of those "do you really need a new ps4" talks with the ministry of war and decided to be a chicken and blame all you guys

Anyway, was considering it for a longer time. The smooth framerate (even though it's good already on regular ps4) and the benefits it has for some other games make it worth the purchase for me. Additional hdd space is nice as well.

I'm still on a non 4k samsung 55f8000 from a few years ago but am looking forward to see any improvements.
In time i will make the move to 4k/hdr so at least i will be ready for it.

          Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro

I have been playing 17 on a PS4 Pro with a newer Vizio 1080p, since launch. Went to play at a friends house the other day, on his regular PS4 and a Samsung 1080p and...

OMG FRAME RATE WAS UNBEARABLE ON NON PS4 PRO.

Seriously, beyond belief. Don't know if that is how 16 was for me, if his TV settings were jacked, but oh my God the game looked like crap compared to my setup.

Even only on a 1080p TV, the PS4 Pro still gives you an option for 'High Frame Rate' and dear lord does it work.

From what I saw, PS4 Pro is a MUST for this game.

Go pop in MLB The Show 16 again and check out the framerate. You'll be flabbergasted in wondering how anyone could have ever played with it.

Framerate felt largely the same as 16 to me, on my wife's PS4. Framerate on the Pro is all I've ever wanted from this game.

it was by far my biggest complaint about the game for years.

                But now..

Just picked up a PS4 pro today for the frame rate increase. Will be looking for a good deal on a 4k UHD TV and picking one up soon. You guys have convinced me.

                    Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro

I got my PS4 Pro on Wednesday night and it is absolutely incredible in terms of what it is capable of. The game looks incredible on my 55 inch 4k Samsung in my living room.

I traded in my OG PS4, my OG Xbox One (which was sitting in my closet), and only had to pay $59 to upgrade to the Pro. Definitely a damn good decision.

PS4 pro arrived. Was tough waiting 9 hours for all data to transfer from my old ps4.

Immediately fired up the show and did the HFR mode. (i'm on a regular 1080p tv).
Difference is there clearly. Much much smoother game now, and i think i'm seeing smoother Visuals as well. May be just placebo, but i'm liking what i see.

It's definitely not a placebo effect.

I have found that PC Remote Play is significantly better, though. Only problem for me is my DL/UL speeds are about <6/<1 respectively, so I can't rely on it necessarily, nor could I do much Share Play (I kind of really anticipate that feature if I can make it work right).

Yes it's much smoother and the graphics are slightly better with more detail and less jaggies.

Agreed. I got the pro, and the difference on my 1080p plasma TV is noticable (Samsung 60F85000) . I'm sure on a 4k TV it's amazing, but even for those of us on a 1080 it's noticable.

And for what it's worth, I am not remotely a tech guy or one that geeks out over minor issues. I have no buyers remorse whatsoever.

Yes I'm very happy with my purchase and I'm playing on a 1080p Sony bravia.

I have a 48" 1080p Samsung Smart TV and I was wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to the PS4 Pro, basically even without having a 4K TV is it worth it for the highest end PS4? I currently have the second generation PS4 and only play it for the Show. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
