Yeah definitely. Can't wait to see what they do next year with a full dev cycle with the Pro

Not sure if it's been updated with a firmware update, but the 8500 also handled motion a little better than the 8000, to the point a few guys went with the curved over the flat and one guy exchanged his flat for the curved.

So the 8500 is better than the 8000?

Caved and traded in my old boy for a Pro yesterday.

My goodness the High Frame Rate mode is something to behold.

Smoother than the smoothest babys bottom in Smoothland.

Its more than playable on normal PS4 but my word, on Pro...different ball game now, absurdly good.

From my research the are the same TV but the 8500 has a curved form and is like 5% brighter but I can tell you the other day at BestBuy the 55" 8500 was $100 less than the 8000 of the same size and I grabbed it. After you get all the settings dialed in you are in for a treat. It is an amazing TV. I never really wanted a curved TV but it actually looks great and when you are in front of it you don't even notice its curved. The only time I notice the curve is when its off and im walking past it and i'm like, "damn that is one sexy looking beast."

Man! I'm struggling with this. I'm playing on OG PS4 with 65 inch KS8000 and it looks really good but can't help but to think I'm missing out by not having the pro.
Decisions....... with the GameStop promo I'm looking at about $200. Just don't know if I'd see that much of a difference.

                  PS4 vs PS4 pro

What other games do you play?

You'll definitely see a difference in smoothness and it's to the point where it positively affects the gameplay.

If that difference is worth 200 bucks, I mean that's up to you.

You might not get another chance at that trade-in value though, that is one thing to consider.

Don't game a whole lot. Play mostly the Show, Madden, and The Golf Club. I use the PS4 for movies as well.
I probably get in 5-6 games a week, love to play just not a ton of time.
I have a bit of an inferiority complex with my electronics though!
If the Pro had 4K BR I wouldn't think twice.

Hell yes. Isn't it great? Finally, The Show in 60 FPS.

Yeah the 4k BR is still somewhat of a curious omission.

Honestly, if you don't like feeling behind the curve with technology, and you play a lot of The Show and Madden (which will have Pro Mode of some sort, just unknown what the specifics will be), I recommend going for it.

I was sceptical too but within one minute of getting into a game i knew it was a sound decision.

Not quite night and day from the regular PS4 but not far off.

I think the best way to describe it is they both target 60fps but only on the Pro is 60fps maintained consistently throughout the different phases of a game. Slight drops here and there only
