Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro
I read last night about the lg Oled hdr firmware update, it doesn't work online with the tv and you have to download online website with a USB, what a difference it made to this tv and gaming. This allows for hdr gaming and not just hdr that lights up in the top corner. Response is awesome

USPS just delivered my Amazon order. Installing now. Time to find out for myself!
I'm also really hyped to try the new 3D sound with my Plats

Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro
I played the first game, the intro game. Usually I skip it but I was loving the smoothness of it so much (for real, its pure butter, feels like a new game in regards to framerate/lack of dips).
I switching between all three visual modes throughout the game, paid very close attention to the far away objects/places in the inning transitions, that is where you are easily going to see aliasing.
All three modes looked the same to me
This was taken in "4k" mode on my 1080p display. Notice the far chalk line and the railing in the top left. I have to think that on true 4k displays that would be cleaned up in 4k mode and enhanced visuals mode. I don't have an image of each three modes with this precise view but I was looking very carefully each time and it always looked the same regardless of setting.
I think when you force it to enhanced visuals or 4k on a 1080p screen it just goes to a default 1080p rendering.
Regardless, HFR mode is the truth. Holy cow. Smoothest sports gameplay I have experienced in a long, long time. Smoothest this gen. Holy cow.
Wow.
HFR is a game changer"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro
I skipped 16 so this could feel smoother compared to that. For me, definitely a lot of frame rate drops between plays. Also doing a warm up swing makes it hitch every time for some reason.Comment

Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro
Very little bit, basically just like it looked last year on my OG PS4 in that regard, maybe a little cleaned up there, but I think that is same on OG PS4. I don't feel like PS4 Pro 1080p'ers get any image quality benefits, just the HFR which is awesome.
I am still testing though, but honestly everything is looking the same no matter what mode I have it on."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro
It was Crumps on Twitch, and honestly his stream and the official Sony streams look smoother than my game at times as far as FPS goes, which I find pretty odd. I guess there could be something with my PS4 specifically.Last edited by jeffy777; 03-28-2017, 06:23 PM.Comment
