Digital Foundry released a YouTube video not long ago going over all the "best of" games on the Pro that have the best looking upgraded features.

I noticed on a few games they said that Enhanced Mode was the better choice over 4K.

You two are confirming that with this game it'll be the same recommendation as DFs. I have a feeling they're going to say the same again in regards to this game.

Enhanced Mode with a framerate boost over 4K.

I tried 4K mode out and it honestly didn't look much different than with it off. Nothing to wow over. Enhanced is perfect.

Have any of you guys tried RTTS yet? It seems that the standard PS4 has more frame rate drops there compared to other modes. It's really noticeable in between plays. If a Pro would take care of the RTTS choppiness, I'll start saving my pennies now, so please let me know.

RTTS is buttery smooth on Pro man.

It really is impressive. And I haven't even tried high frame rate mode yet.

So EV mode, in gameplay, is as smooth as Mills streams? If it really is 60fps in gameplay thats damn impressive for 1440p

But I thought it was a waste according to a YouTuber!

Yeah, even in the stadiums that were so bad before, I can't perceive gameplay framerate dropping at all in EV, let alone High Framerate mode. Out of play scenes cause it to dive a bit, but those are much smoother than previous years as well.

I can't say definitively if a 1440p display would cause it to drop (I only have 1080p) nor can I tell if there's any graphical benefit to having it on EV with a 1080p (downsampling). I only know that it's a vast improvement on previous years with the Pro.

I see, so you are playing in EV mode on a 1080p display, correct?

Thank you for your time and input, my man

Was on fence about buying the pro since I only have 1080p. Worth every penny

So basically, now that you all have played it, does the universal conclusion seem to be that for 1080p displays there are no down-sampling benefits present in the image quality regardless of what mode you put it on?

It's been on my mind for days now and would just kind of like to "stick a fork in it." I can just play HFR mode until my 4k display comes in

Personally i don't think it's downsampling. There is still too much aliasing for it to be.

Would love to be proven wrong though
