Thanks Jarebear for the effort in this and explaining it clearly for someone like me on a basic level.

Lets just say ive lined the pockets of Sony a smidge more and its lucky I have 200MB cable, ive 41 minutes to wait

Great stuff JareBear! Interesting side by side comparisons. At least we can say we get some benefit of using a Pro in 1080p.

Now it's time for people like us to stop ******** & complaining and just go get a 4K HDR set! The only thing stopping me is do I want to wait for OLED....

      Thanks again for your efforts!

        Re: PS4 vs PS4 pro

        Thanks Jarebear!

Can you confirm that the practice swing framrate hitch isn't there on the Pro?

I think I'll take the plunge tonight for the extra smoothness, even if it's not perfect for RTTS, at least it will be an improvement.

So other than a little smoother frame rate...there's really no reason for me to upgrade to a PS4 Pro until I get a 4k HDR set up?

I upgraded to pro and it's night and day on a 1080p. Trust me. It's better then the regular PS4 even on just a 1080p tv. Trust me

I think he is asking about this game specifically. In general I agree with you, a lot of games look way better on 1080p. This game doesn't have what I could consider great 1080p enhancements

IMO, of we are talking strictly The Show, then yes, at 1080p you seemingly just get a smoother framerate.

I have zero frame rate issues on he pro on 1080. On PS4 I'm hearing all kinds of complaining about Jaggies and frame rate. I have none of that with the pro so imo it's worth getting a pro just for this game alone

Go to mini-games, go to batting practice, and see if the seats in the stadium look like this when you load in

I am starting to notice all sorts of rendering hiccups in the stands in games and I just want to make sure its not all just happening for me

                    Have you tried RTTS?

Going to pick up a Pro in a couple hours. All I want is a smoother frame rate, and it sounds like I'll get that, though it might not be flawless.

Sorry I should have meant Vita Remote Play. The Vita screen is only 544 horizontal lines of resolution.

... then again, perhaps it downsamples a 1080p picture onto it.

You have the same game and same system as everyone time. Sometimes perception is reality I guess

Honestly some people are more sensitive to framerate/frame pacing/judder/hitching than others

I am seeing it as well. Some of the stadiums are harder to notice than others, possibly because of the colour and shade of the seats, but it's still noticeable.
