Was the 7 games before or after the injury? Also who are some contenders who could use a lefty?

Maybe they'll give me Gray for Mato + Adams after all.
I said he exact same thing when I saw the deal.

I'm in the 17-18 off season and I'm going to make offers for all teams to MLB roster free agents.

Has anyone seen any good articles or websites with predictions for this FA class?

In my Pirates Franchise I'm starting the second half of my season. We beat the Cards in the first game back, but my team is really underperforming. We are in last place in the NL Central with an awful record of 31-59. I've already traded Tony Watson, can't remember who I got for him but he is gone. I'm looking to rebuild and start looking forward to the 2017-18 offseason and the 2018 season. I have some players that I want to trade.

            JOSH HARRISON- .237/.260/.388, 9 HR, 27 RBI, 23 R
            ANDREW MCCUTCHEN- .231/.303/.357, 9 HR, 27 RBI, 30 R
            DAVID FREESE- .303/.365/.476, 9 HR, 39 RBI, 30 R
            IVAN NOVA- 5-5, 2.53 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 113 1/3 IP, 73 SO, 21 BB
            JOHN JASO- .262/.340/.417 2 HR, 6 RBI, 10 R
And I have two players I'm intrigued to move as I have some ready replacements from free agency or that I want to play to get ready for next season AKA Elias Diaz
            GERRIT COLE- 3-10, 4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP 99 2/3 IP, 104 SO, 34 BB
            FRANCISCO CERVELLI- .315/.392/.378 1 HR, 14 RBI, 29 R

I would like to see what you think I should get in return for most players. I'd prefer deals for all players, but for the players you think I should get rid of I would like deals the most. My needs are 3B, SS, 2B, RP, SP. I would like some minor leaguers in return to clear up some money.

Jaso really wouldn't have any value, Freese and Nova both could get a solid C prospect, Cervelli you could maybe stretch into low B territory if a contender needs a catcher, Cutch is tough since he is struggling but I still thing if someone has an injury then he could be worth a B guy, and then Harrison and Cole are the two big guns. Cole is struggling but so was Quintana IRL, you could probably get something similar but maybe a bit less. Harrison is a step below but still worth a really good prospect or two. Willing to help you with those two if you name some teams who need players at those positions, and also willing to confirm realism for the other guys. Hope this helps.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

What would a Red Sox/White Sox trade for Todd Frazier, Nate Jones, and/or Zach Putnam look like?

Willing to include E-Rod and/or Workman, but no Devers, Raudes, Dalbec (injured for the next 1-2 months, so he can't be trade anyways), and Travis. Would also prefer to keep Groome.

                Maybe something like...

White Sox Receive: Eduardo Rodriguez, Brandon Workman, C.J. Chatham, Josh Ockimey

Red Sox Receive: Todd Frazier, Nate Jones, Zach Putnam

Also looking for a starter, more so to eat innings, was thinking about Phil Hughes...

Twins Receive: Brian Johnson, Ty Buttrey

                Red Sox Receive: Phil Hughes

I've already scouted a deal that a couple of said would work.

                Braves Receive: Blake Swihart

Red Sox Receive: Tyler Flowers, Jace Peterson

I could also make the Braves deal and then flip Peterson to one of the other teams to make things work if need be.

Cole Hamels and Jeff Samardzija are the new names in the rumor mill, thoughts on what they cost in a typical year for them?

Last two look decent, need more in Frazier deal.

Any suggestions? Jake Cosart? Kyle Martin? Josh Tobias? Jake Romanski?

I don't think Harrison would really get much of anything besides salary relief. Obviously he's been quite good in real life but if you take away that performance and factor in the .648 OPS he has here, he's essentially an overpaid utility guy. With that line and price tag, I don't really see much value in J-Hay, plus there wouldn't really be a huge market for him as a starting 2B or 3B and teams typically don't give up good prospects for $10 M utility players. He's still a solid player but isn't really worth that contract imo.

No numbers in front of me atm, 2018 season. Three questions.

                          1) whats it take to get Machado to Arizona? In a arb year. Bal out of it, AZ in WC spot. Banda, Marte + what?

                          2) whats it take to get Donaldson to Mets without Conforto, or Rosario or Smith? Willing to deal and pitching not named syndergaard. (Harvey in Minnesota)

                          3) David price to Milwaukee for what? Wanna keep Arcia in Minnesota, everyone else is for grabs. Boston out of it, milwaukee fighting for second wc spot at break

Speaking for the Jays, Donaldson isn't a Met without Conforto or Rosario headlining the deal. Gotta give to get.

I doubt you get either for 1 season of Donaldson. Dom Smith is a realistic target

                                Missed the 2018 part.

Even still, kind of hard to trade for a guy like Donaldson while withholding your best prospects. Smith is a nice piece, but I think the Jays would have better offers than a 1B prospect from elsewhere.
