You could make a trade for Doolitle or Madson and could possibly add Gray. This gets a little tricky with your prospects you don't want to trade. But here's what I think you should do
Oak Receives- Groome, Swihart, and Chavis or Chatham
Bos Receives- Doolitle or Madson and Gray
Again this depends on the year Gray and Doolitle/Madson are having

I thought about Madson as he's had a decent year, but his attributes have regressed a lot. Gray has a mid-5 era through 110 or so innings, so I think I'll stay away from him for right now, maybe in the offseason or something.

yeah you could do that. i don't think I'm much help anymore. I was trying to get you some difference makers not just inning eaters in the rotation and trying to get your bullpen better. I would recommend this but you could try for Zach Britton but you would have to get rid of Swihart, Groome and possibly Dalbec or Travis, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I appreciate you trying to help. Yeah, Britton isn't realistic for me as he's inner division, and would cost a ton. I try to stay away from inner division trades as they're not very common and tend to cost extra. Mostly what I need is inning eaters as Owens and Kendrick are only getting me about 5 innings per game which is taxing on my bullpen, which is another reason I need relievers.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

In my Pirates Franchise I'm starting the second half of my season. We beat the Cards in the first game back, but my team is really underperforming. We are in last place in the NL Central with an awful record of 31-59. I've already traded Tony Watson, can't remember who I got for him but he is gone. I'm looking to rebuild and start looking forward to the 2017-18 offseason and the 2018 season. I have some players that I want to trade.

              JOSH HARRISON- .237/.260/.388, 9 HR, 27 RBI, 23 R
              ANDREW MCCUTCHEN- .231/.303/.357, 9 HR, 27 RBI, 30 R
              DAVID FREESE- .303/.365/.476, 9 HR, 39 RBI, 30 R
              IVAN NOVA- 5-5, 2.53 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, 113 1/3 IP, 73 SO, 21 BB
              JOHN JASO- .262/.340/.417 2 HR, 6 RBI, 10 R
And I have two players I'm intrigued to move as I have some ready replacements from free agency or that I want to play to get ready for next season AKA Elias Diaz
              GERRIT COLE- 3-10, 4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP 99 2/3 IP, 104 SO, 34 BB
              FRANCISCO CERVELLI- .315/.392/.378 1 HR, 14 RBI, 29 R

I would like to see what you think I should get in return for most players. I'd prefer deals for all players, but for the players you think I should get rid of I would like deals the most. My needs are 3B, SS, 2B, RP, SP. I would like some minor leaguers in return to clear up some money.

My vets have been great all year and I will look to cash in on a couple to bulk up the farm. I would really appreciate if someone could let me know what kind of values I am looking at for each player as I am not good at calculating them like you.

                C Russell Martin (86 overall) 2yrs/20M - .201/.269/.403, 26 HR, 49 RBI, 1.9 WAR in 457 AB.

                SS Troy Tulowitzki (86 overall) 3yr/27M - .267/.310/.501 34 HR 76 RBI 4.1 WAR in 521 AB.

                2B Devon Travis (82 overall) 3yrs ARB - .208/.261/.334 9 HR 21 RBI 0.5 WAR in 371 AB

                SP J.A Happ (81 overall) 1yr/12M - 7-6, 3.09 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 137K, 17 QS, 3.6 WAR in 177.2 IP

                1B Justin Smoak (81 overall) 1yr/4.5M -.249/.297/.499 28 HR, 63 RBI, 2.6 WAR in 405 AB

                RP Luke Hochever (77 overall) 1yr/2.0M - 2-1, 2.31 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 65 K, 22 Holds, 1.6 WAR in 62.1 IP.

I probably won't deal all players listed, but would love to get values on each so I can maybe make a deal or two. Looking for prospect values (A/B/C) and how many of each likely I could get.

                Thanks very much in advanced!

Sorry to bump but would like to move forward and would really appreciate some help.

                Thanks

Would a Trey Ball or Roniel Raudes and Shaun Anderson for Todd Frazier trade work for Boston and Chicago?

IRL yes, but in the game it would probably take all three

I can honestly say that Hochevar and Travis are your only good trade options. Hochevar could probably bring in 2 C's and Travis with his 3 arb years left could fetch a B and a low C. Your other guys aka Tulo, Martin won't be tradable due to their performances, age, and salary

Thanks. What would it take to get Dee Gordon to Toronto

                        .276/.329/.406 with 25 SB, 4 HR and 33 RBI, 2.4 WAR (362 AB) ?

Hi all! New to posting on here but have read these threads in the past to try and make realistic trades. Currently playing an Angels franchise and contending right around the break, but want to upgrade my bullpen and over the injured Danny Espinosa. Thoughts on what it might take to bring Cesar Hernandez to the Angels? Willing to trade just about anything, including Tropeano or Meyer. Additionally, what might be the cost on Kelvin Herrera from a cellar dwelling Royals club?

                          Thanks!

It would take Devon Travis, Conner Greene or Sean Reid-Foley, or you go 2 lower B prospects

                              Thanks! Last one!

What would the Cubs give for Stroman? Could I get Baez or Happ back? If that would be too expensive, how about Schwarber/Candelario?

                              Stroman: 9-7, 3.71 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 104 K, 128.2 IP, 2.3 WAR

I plan to acquire Gordon. Trade Donaldson, Travis and Stroman for assets for a short term rebuild for next year.

well Kelvin Herrera to the Angels probably wouldn't happen cuz of the lack of prospects the Angels have, but if you are using the OSFM draft roster it would probably take Meyer, Adell, Thaiss. to get Cesear Hernandez probably two C prospects
