Frazier, Sheffield, Judge for Yelich sounds like something the Marlins would look into. Going over this before, just not seeing Yelich going anywhere.

Most likely going to have Kang sit out the whole year due to the fact he probably won't be in the USA, and I want it to be realistic.

I actually want to trade McCutchen and maybe a reliever for a MLB ready (80+) corner OF, a young starting caliber IF (2B/3B/SS) and a decent SP. What are everybody's thoughts on even trading McCutchen? If you think its a legit move, what do you think the return should be?

    Thanks everyone!
Just depends on a landing spot.

Pirates Receive: Jose Quintana & Aaron Judge

    Yankees Receive: Andrew McCutchen

White Sox Receive: Rutherford, Mateo, Kaprielian, Kevin Newman

Maitan is 16. You want him to be your 3B in a year? He will be 18 in the game.

Kemp would have to be putting up some incredible numbers to have any trade value due to his contract. Depending on how Markakis is playing I could see him fetching a mid to high C.

As for Phillips, remember he was just acquired for two non-prospect relievers, so that should be some indication of his value. He would have to be tearing it up and a team in desperate need of a 2B to get any value for him.

they are saying maitan will be in the bigs by 2019 or latest 2020 which would put him at 18 or 19

I will be doing 30 team control once OSFM drops. Ill be controlling and playing games for 12 teams. Looking gor landing spots and returns for some guys from those teams.

            NYY: Headley, Gardner
            W.Sox: Quintana, Frazier
            Tigers: JV, Miggy
            CN; Bailey

Also have a question. Why havnt the Yankees moved Judge to 1st base?

I'll only speak to what I know, but I'd say JV and Miggy are pretty close to unmovable due to their contracts. You just aren't going to get the value you're looking for from those guys because of the limited amount of teams that would be able pay them.

The most commonly talked about landing spot for Quintana seems to be Houston for a package built around Martes. I think Martes and two B 'spects (think a Sale-lite package) would probably get it done. The Cardinals have also been talked about, but I think Houston could put a better package together.

You should think about it like this:

Why would the Marlins want to trade a 25-year-old, coming off of a break-out year and under cheap control until 2022 for 3 old guys? How would that help them?

Would the Yankees trade Gary Sanchez for Edison Volquez, Martin Prado and Marcell Ozuna? I don't think they would and that's probably a better trade.

Plus, the Marlins have already gone on the record saying they're not trading either Yelich or Realmuto (along with Stanton, who they can't really trade anyway).

I try to make realistic trades in my franchise. If I know a team in real life values a certain player highly, I know I don't really want to try to rip off the CPU for him (easy to do in this series).

Well, you're in the right place! This thread is always awesome for realistic trades that make the game way more fun. Not even saying I always listen 100% to the suggestions made in this thread (even MLB execs get ripped off/rip off other teams) but playing with a super team constructed by ripping off every team in baseball, repeatedly, just doesn't float my boat whatsoever.

I love this thread every year! Just picked up my copy of the show and am about to start my Cardinals franchise. This one I am planning for long term and to carry over for future games so I am going to be realistic and very smart about my trades (or so I say...)

To start, I am looking to get rid of Kolten Wong. Not only has he been struggling in the few games I played for practice but I also don't see a spot or future for him. I am not too concerned with getting MLB players back, prospects are fine.

Any ideas? I'd like to just trade Wong, nobody else added. Though I know that won't bring me much in return most likely.

Looking at Sonny Gray for the Yankees, began with a package of Mateo, Rutherford, Williams. What else would i need to push it over the edge?

So I'm killing time until osfm rosters come out and I started a Royals franchise with the top 15 prospects rosters. I've gotten off to a terrible start and am looking to blow it up.

I've got Hosmer, Cain, Moose, and Escobar for trade (I'm going to hang on to Herrera and resign him in off-season. ) I'm looking for either high end prospects or young players with control. Any ideas? Obviously this can go a lot of different directions. I'd prefer to fill the farm again though since its pretty thin.

Hey guys, first time posting here, so I hope you can help.

In previous years games, the batter tendencies for your player would randomly generate at the point you created the player. My batter of choice is an "extreme pull" batter. In the new game I noticed after creating 5 different players that every time I would get 33-Left 34-Center 33-Right? Has anyone else noticed this, does your spray chart change over time in RTTS now, or did I just happen to get 5 of the same ones.

Any help would be appreciated guys.
                            Thanks

So, question on this, because it's something I enjoy doing. How do you approach these matters when the scenario is unrealistic, but for a different reason?

I started my Cubs franchise and quickly went to one goal: dump Miguel Montero. Sal Perez got hurt early in the year, so I opted to work with the Royals. However, because he has a nice contract at $3.5 million, not the unmovable $14 million his real-life version has, he has some decent trade value. In fact, just playing around with how dumb the AI is, I found they would give me Danny Duffy (Who is depressingly underrated in this game) for Montero and John Lackey.

Think it best I give Montero away because he SHOULD have a terrible contract, or should I treat him as the elite backup/mediocre starter he is rated as, on a cheap, expiring contract?
