One thing I noticed from season one of my franchise was that my own players seemed to regress at a faster rate then similarly aged players on CPU teams who weren't putting up the same stats at the time. In season one Nelson Cruz and Cano were tearing it up to start the season and after about 30 games their ratings started just completely falling off a cliff. Regardless of the fact that Cruz was leading the majors in HR's and RBI's while hitting .360 he was still falling apart. Meanwhile I went around the league looking at older players and guys like Jose Bautista, at the time, were hitting somewhere around .200, striking out at a ridiculously high clip yet saw very little decline in his ratings. Looking throughout the league I didn't see one player that was declining at the same rate and I ran into quite a few older players who were having terrible seasons. Maybe it was a coincidence? Maybe Cruz and Cano have farther to fall then those others so thats why they were declining at a faster rate but realistically Nelson Cruz shouldn't lose 8 points on his contact when he's hitting .360.

Has anyone brought up bunt speed? They Rocket off the bat and I'm able to throw out a guy at 2nd every time. Same with CPU when I'm bunting. Doesn't matter who I'm bunting with a pitcher or regular player.

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
- Let us allow to upload own player pictures to player-cards
- More dynamic, authentic and fluid Commentary like NBA2K
- Put more effort in TV-Broadcast-Style, add more details, extend the whole Presentation...
- More individual player-animations (batting, fielding, throwing, injuries, batter get hit by a pitch, celebrating HR's, players chew gums/seeds and spitting all the time like in reality hehe )
- Deeper RTTS (Franchise) mode. keep the realistic touch, i don't need a useless story like NBA2K did it the last versions...but please add sponsors, more interactivity, more feedback, more decisions, better presentation...
- Logic AI management + trades + bullpen
- Add fights ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYVZixqSE94 )
- Please give us the chance to play franchise-mode with a created team....would be great to enter franchise-mode with Montreal Expos....
- would be nice if the japanese-baseball league would be implemented or another foreign baseball league

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
(apologies if this has been posted about already)
RttS: Uniform Numbers. My 19-year-old 1B/3B has been on the Rays' 40-man roster all year long, in the majors all year long, and has had four different uniform numbers in the span of the first two months of the season since being called up. The ability to choose a preferred uniform number is nice, but what's the point if the number we're assigned doesn't stick? (And also, why are the numbers repeated? I currently have the same uniform number as the first base coach!)
I'd like to see some screens implemented. We can choose our preferred number, or let the team choose for us. Let us see what numbers are available, as well. Especially once we get on the 40-man roster. And if a veteran gets traded or signed to the team we're on that has the same number, let them buy it off of us (as it happens in real life), and let us choose another number.
It's a small thing, but it breaks the immersion for me.Yes, I've been here since 2003. No, I don't post much. I'm too busy playing the games.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
I remember in MLB 2K11 it was tougher to see the ball when the afternoon shadows started creeping up around the 8th inning. I thought that was kind of cool. The only thing I didn't like about it was it didn't seem to affect the computer. But I liked how it was a factor.Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!Comment

Vesting options for contacts
I think it would add another element to how the player plays for that season. I don't like getting stuck with a player who's not performing up to par for multiple seasons. Sure I could sign him to a solo deal but vesting options would be fun.Comment

Allow stamina to progress like other stats, with the chance of a reliever occasionally becoming a starter as well.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
-Tag collission detection! It's one of the last true annoyances that take me out of the game. Please make this happen for 18.
-Ball awareness while diving. Diving is still not really fun to to because you have to time it so perfectly otherwise the player just dives over the ball like he's tracking a ghost ball.
Ofcourse it should still be a hard play but make it at least look like he's trying to reach for the location of the ball.
-Dynamic weather. An overcast sky should be able to break open and show some sun or vice versa. Or dark clouds are coming in and it starts raining.
-More uniform options, button open etc.
-Arm tattoos.
-Throw in sandlot/field of dreams type of field"When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."Comment

ya would be nice to have dynamic Weather. but this would be a long development process since it would require new tech probably.Toronto Blue Jays
Toronto Raptors
Las Vegas Raiders
Toronto Maple LeafsComment

a real-time system would take new tech but they could surely fake it using what's already in there.

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
My top 3:
1. Interleague Play Rotation: I hate having to play the same AL teams every year in RTTS. This feature would make the game much more realistic.
2. Rainouts and Double Headers: This is another feature that would make the game more realistic. I think it would be cool if they made it so the game could get delayed for an hour then you resume play, then get delayed again, and eventually get cancelled and have to play a double header. MLB 2K did it so I don't understand why the Show can't too.
3. Face Guards for Helmets: There are a lot of players with these now (Giancarlo Stanton, Jason Heyward, Javy Baez, Keon Broxton, Josh Donaldson just off the top of my head). It's time for the Show to add them.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 18 Wishlist: PLUS Things they should PATCH for MLB 17
I’m so glad I retained the ’16 version. I have purchased every version since ’09, always a first day buyer. But this year, I decided to wait a little while. Boy, did I make the right decision! It started off with the Tigers away uniforms saga and other unis problems such as the wrong shade of red for all teams wearing same. And then the missing blue cap of the Cards away from home which they still wear against teams which have red caps. To top it off, this year’s game is up to 11 patches. Count them, 11 patches! Patches are fine to a point, but 11 of them? Come on! So, instead of coming up with new gimmicks every year, Sony should make sure their game is seriously tested before release. I hope next year’s edition will reconcile me with what I consider an otherwise great product.Comment
