I called yesterday and today. Nobody in store has any idea about first pitch weekend. One guy even told me "we probably won't even have the game that early."

I understand the company is aware. But the employees don't seem to be.

As long as the company is aware, then there should be no problem getting the game on the 23rd if you pre-order.

I'm gonna bet on some info dropping tomorrow. Granted, my wager is zero dollars and zero cents, but I'm feeling lucky. News dropped on the final Wednesday of January last year. Well, tomorrow is the last Wednesday of January this year.

I wouldn't expect any huge graphical upgrades, but we'll definitely get more polish.

After seeing madden on the x, I hope mlb takes a big leap in terms of graphics. In March I thought the graphics were [emoji106] but a year later, not so much.

This is getting frustrating. Also, I've called all ganestops in like. 50 mile radius and none of them are aware of first pitch weekend. Did I miss something? OR did they?

I had the same issue with the Gamestop I pre ordered from the guy told me the 27th, but he said their in store system shows the 27th as does the website and that it probably hasn't updated.

I called a different Gamestop today and the lady told me it would be available on the 23rd. She is aware of it, she said that for whatever reason Gamestop's website is only going to show the actual street date of the 27th and I shouldn't have an issue coming in in the 23rd to get the game. She even said her system updated this morning as it shows the 27th, but when she actually places the order for the her location in her system it says the 23rd.

In years past, I have generally pre-ordered "The Show" digitally by now. I'm actually waiting this time around. I really want to see some innovations in RttS. Although '17 version was the most I had played "The Show" since '08, it really needs a makeover.

I wonder if they've included the expanded netting in all of the parks that have added it for this year. Including the White Sox, who were pretty late to the party in just announcing they've done so pretty recently.

you get the 4 day early access (March 23rd release)

Same here. My GameStop wasn’t aware when I preordered it but they went online and saw it on the GameStop website. It’s simply too early and I’m sure they will be aware of it as the release date approaches. In fact I wouldn’t doubt if they get displays advertising it very soon to push the pre order.

Not even a single screenshot. Previous years we would have a full trailer in the first week of DECEMBER(!). It's essentially February and we know nothing about the game other than the cover athlete and that there are some new bat flips. It's very frustrating.

We know a little more than that:

* Server infrastructure has been changed
* Hitting has been changed
* Over 1000 new animations added
* New catcher animations/interactions for passed/blocked balls at the plate
* New PCI
* New Swing feedback
* Catcher throwing has been changed/improved
* New ads in stadiums (Nike ad seen in Judge photo)
* New bat flips have been added

Just my opinion but really wouldnt consider any of these things ground breaking since there are other issues that still plague The Show
Still a 1st day purchase for me regardless
