thats spot on. thats why I would hope sony finds things us offline franchisers would be willing to pay for.

I dont think theres money to be made in more historic real stadiums as DLC.
but what about more DLC generic fake stadiums (for MiLB) to purchase
or DLC throwback uni's
or advanced stat tracking
or more than 90 man rosters

plenty of potential out there even if its not these things
and really, theres money waiting to be tapped from us too.
sony just has to go about it right to earn it.

I would add they need to bring components of DD offline add create a stadium/relocoation in franchise they could charge for certain things same as they do online .. Create a stadium should have been added long ago i ve asked for it since 2006 and when they created DD you would think they would have made it for offline as well makes no since to me .. What i do know is franchise players are fed up with the same game and they will stop buying the game every year and regardless it will hurt there bottom line no matter ..I miss the days when there was 3 baseball games to choose from to play and ive played them all ..Mvp 05 is still the gold standard to me !!!

I'm just thrilled they did the alpha this year. It just goes to show that they really care about improving the game as much as they can. That in itself is great news we've already gotten so far, as if we didn't already know.

All I see really is gamers with great passion for baseball and MLBTS. They just express their passion very differently, some being overly enthusiastic and other very critical. I myself have been in both team in the past, depending on topics and editions of TS.

That being said, I truly believe that even the most critical members are passionate about the game and it’s their passion that lead them to criticize instead of simply not giving a sh*t.

I prefer a healthy mix of both side as a community, rather than no community (the result of an absence of passion)

100% agree. Never really thought about that before.

I would pay extra for larger rosters, more advanced stats, the ability to play A ball, the ability to move a franchise or create an expansion franchise.

I’d probably pay a lot actually.

This is ridiculous. You actually want to have stuff that should be built in features to be locked behind a paywall? The first year The Show does this is the first year I stop supporting it entirely.

With the way loot boxes are headed, you never know. I seriously doubt The Show will go that far of a route but we currently do have a "loot box" type of system in The Show.

This is ridiculous. You actually want to have stuff that should be built in features to be locked behind a paywall? The first year The Show does this is the first year I stop supporting it entirely.

I dont want anything behind a paywall but if i had to pay little something to get extra staduims and have DD where i could i make my own team /stadium/ able to relocate teams and expansion i know i would pay as would many others .. I dont like microtransactions in games either but it is every game now .

Oh I know that's the way games are headed, which is a damn shame. What I found ridiculous is that someone would actually suggest that the developers a paywall in and say they would pay for features that should be included in the base game. Diamond Dynasty is different in that theres nothing behind a paywall, everything is still able to be acquired through normal play. The microtransactions in DD are just for more digital currency.

So hypothetically if I don't pay for the new feature, then I'm paying $60 for a new game that isn't any different than the last game because they hide new features (e.g. the only reason I would buy the game in the first place) behind another paywall? This would keep me from ever buying another game from that developer. The attitude of "I don't like it, but I have no choice" is what keeps the microtransactions in all the games these days. Well you do have a choice and that is to boycott any company the succumbs to those greedy practices.

Thats why DD should have been incorporated in franchise when they developed DD and sure should have been by now ..

Why should I pay a full $60 for a game with no new features included? Franchise mode has had few new features over the past few years already and now you want to put some actually good new features behind a paywall?

I'm glad that I chose to skip 17, after all of the mess about it. I boycotted based on nothing that matters to me being added to offline franchise, but it seems there were more problems than that. I'm still contently playing 16.

I often don't buy the game Day One, but I had purchased every version of The Show by August from 2009-2016, after switching over from a different MLB title. I even bought it the day I got my PS4 in 2014. I want to buy the game. I want to enjoy it. But I won't buy it if its more of the same from last year.

I do think that they need to be more forthcoming about what kind of game that they're making. If all they care about is the online portion, then quit teasing us offline players and let us forget about it and move on. I desperately want a better offline franchise MLB experience though, so I'm here until we know one way or another.

you should never pay for something you dont want. but for the rest of us, if we're going to continue on year after year with the same franchise mode, there are some of us willing to compromise, even albeit begrudgingly. if at this point our options are: A) same old same old, and B) pay for new, and more, then put me in the camp for new and more. I'm just not ready to say "I'm not willing to pay, so I dont want anybody else to have it either''. and I definetly also dont feel entitled to new and more. at least not w/o repercussions
