In past years when they released the feature list it was in February. The streams always start in Feb. I felt like we always had at least a little bit of info at this point though.

This year we have gotten no info at all to this point. It's not the end of the world, but I feel like its effecting buzz and excitement for the game.

February to March is plenty enough time generate buzz.
Still, I wouldn't be surprised if some bit of small news didn't get leaked over the next 45 days.

Hey, I'm not sure if this is allowed here but my name is Jason and I'm a 14 year old boy from Minnesota.
I was wondering if someone could buy me MLB The Show 17. A used PS4 is being delivered to me and I would just like to be able to play MLB The Show 17. The game is $10 on PSN I believe.

LOL wow.....I have now seen it all on OS. At 14 are you saying you are not creative enough to figure out a way to earn $10 without panhandling from strangers on an Internet forum? Go shovel some snow, recycle some soda cans, find some work. There are plenty of ways to earn your keep at 14.

I'd advise against this. They'd probably notice pretty quick and he might be the first suspect.
The best thing to do is sell any of their old clothes to vintage used clothing stores.
Prom dresses and wedding gowns can bring a pretty penny too.

If you go on Youtube there are a ton of videos that show a bunch of new advertisements at Fenway Park in MLB 18. Nike was one of them. Some guys that did Alpha testing streamed it.

If we're talking about the Youtube alpha videos then it's also worth mentioning that Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium, and Yankee Stadium now have bleachers in the outfield instead of seats and it looks great.

I'm hopeful that they can go back to making annoucements via text post instead of videos. I have no desire to wade through that to try and find any useful info. Last year, I don't think that they ever even made a bullet point list of what features and improvements the game had over the previous generation. For a team that had been so customer focused before that, they made a lot of missteps in 2017.

They are continuing to make missteps in 2018 as well IMO. This is not the year to leave the community in the cold with info for 18. Thy seem to be out of touch with their customer base. Many people aren't happy with last years version as well as the pattern of leaving certain game modes(franchise) untouched while they spent time and energy and PR on other modes. People want to see additions and improvements made before they agree to shell out $60 for 18. In years past we have had at least a trailer as well as some screen shots released. The sooner they release info the better.

I also don't like how they tweeted out a the picture of Judges face scan after the new year like it was a new pic.

But there is info on '18. We may not know the full extent yet, but from the two twitch streams and the Judge face scan photo we know:

* Server infrastructure has been changed
* Hitting has been changed
* Over 1000 new animations
* New catcher animations/interactions for passed/blocked balls at the plate
* New PCI
* New Swing feedback
* Catcher throwing has been changed/improved
* New ads in stadiums (Nike ad seen in Judge photo)

The game is still over 2 months from releasing. The community will have plenty of information about the game before "shelling out $60 for it".

And it seems from the stream today that we are getting a new stream in a couple of weeks (I'm thinking it will be the gameplay stream)

My point is this is the year they really need to sell the game hard.

Look at all the people last year that went back to 16 after they got 17. They can't rely on the same customers that have bought the game year to year previously. Past years we have had much more info at this point.
When they introduced the retractable roofs in 16 they announced that at the beginning of December. This isn't the year to release info later into the cycle.

Edit : Also in years past the weekly streams have started in February which is 3 weeks away.
