One thing I'm really glad they got in is using different sounds for each theme. This is going to add a lot to my Franchise. I can have the YES Network songs play for theme 1 (or 2) and maybe add a FOX Sports or TBS for the other, and of course keep the MLB Network theme as is.

This right here will probably make me finally use SOTS.

The thing is though, that first screenshot is from the pre-release stuff last year, like we're getting now. So that isn't the finished product. Evidence:



A) Currently playing my Sox Franchise, the red jerseys aren't anywhere close to that dark. So they definitely adjusted the Red Sox red.



B)That's Benintendi with his 2016 number, he's been 16 since release day.

I find it funny that a guy just got banned literally a couple of pages ago for telling people to "get over it" about the colors on the uniforms. And here you come, not 20 posts later, doing the exact same thing. lol

I think the sooner some realize the devs don't need a protector and that other people caring/complaining about aspects of the game is actually fine and normal, the better off we all will be.

I cannot speak for the person who was banned, but you seem to have misconstrued my post. I like reading the posts of many in this forum (including you) and, like you, I have constructive criticism from time to time. But what was occurring in this particular topic was not constructive criticism – it was whining. And in some instances downright disrespectful. There are over 200 posts in this thread and many of them repeat the exact same complaint. I too like accurate uniform colors and everything else that’s in real life baseball. But it’s beating a dead horse and in some instances downright disrespectful criticism. What is the point? That is my point.

Appreciate all the notes on the stream since apparently text articles detailing everything from video game websites are now "passé". Is there anywhere to find a full post with all of the additions/improvements people picked up from the stream?

This right here will probably make me finally use SOTS.

The only thing missing now, for me, is sound slots for random between-inning stadium music. It'd be nice to load in 10-15 songs for each stadium that are randomly played between different innings. A lot of stadiums don't have songs they play between the same inning breaks every game, but do have a collection of songs they shuffle between for this. Would be nice to see that replicated in SoTS instead of forcing the same song(s) to always play at the same inning breaks.

I'm going to quote my favorite YouTube movie critic, John Campea, here when he refers to his fans trying to make a point about something regarding cinema:

"Don't make an exception the rule."

Let's do an obvious example first: say somebody makes a half-court shot, then everybody from the rooftops declares that half-court shots are wise decisions and prosper, and that guy should be taking them more often. Uhm, no... that was an exception.

I once had my night sky color beef, then one person went hunting left and right for just one photo that supports something remotely similar to what The Show offers given a completely different angle, conditions, post-production, etc. and then suddenly that means that all was good. That was an exception, and is not meant to be the rule.

I understand what WW is doing above, explaining that there are so many different sources for which to go from that can make a color red look like any variation you so desire, so there is not necessarily a right or wrong... not to mention that their game runs through all of those variations as well based on things like angles, lighting, etc. (especially now with PBR being applied to uniforms). Also, I have heard a lot of things like they have to follow the MLB style guide. But I think that there is some way that we can take a straight-shot photo of a jersey with a 6500K white point lighting, and try to match that in game. That way, all of the other variants should be at least close enough to match.

Until then, these kinds of arguments will always last. We can always find exceptions, and although they shouldn't be made the rule it becomes a counterargument that is hard to work against. They'll have their reasons, I would like to think they weren't all legitimate and can be worked around, but if they stand the way they do then the best we can do is keep asking and cross our fingers...

... but I would love to try and go with the rule more than an exception when it comes to things like this.

1st and 3rd pic look like outside, 2nd pic is in a dome.

But still, compare the pics you posted to the Red Sox red alternate we saw in the stream yesterday... You will CLEARLY see the difference.

Same goes for Reds, Nats, etc.

It really is a great feature. And there are some guys on this forum that really help make it shine. If you take advantage of the work put in by guys like Lowlighthabit & CujoMatty (see here), then the immersion factor of playing in different stadiums is really magnified.

It does take a while to set up on your end after you download all of the sound files from the guys here, but going to different stadiums and hearing stadium sounds and/or player walkups that are true to that place and that team? It really adds a whole other dimension to the game.

Hmmmm...

Only the 3rd picture you posted takes place outdoors during a day game. Now compare the red color to the red to the screenshot, which is also oudoors during a day game, and you'll understand what we are talking about.
