Yeah Dansby Swanson's song is a trap-based hip-hop/pop song that kinda sounds like Rockstar. The lyrics are echoed out and muted so I couldn't really pick up on it but they definitely were there.

I don't mind the new emotion added to base hits, but I am hopeful the celebration animation can be toned down to be shown at really big, pressure-packed, or important triggers.

Being down by six runs, and hitting a single, should not result in my guy giving the dugout a Dap, deer antlers, Usain Bolt double-palms down, or finger waggle toward the dugout.

I feel it would be pretty easy to program the toggle, kind of like they do with the crowd noise. Certain situations can certainly have a little more emotion, as in a go-ahead RBI, or legging out a triple to lead off the ninth inning down by a run.

But a mundane single with your team getting shelled, is no reason to make a fool of one's self on the bases.

Be warned, CPU players... The guy who stand on first base and shows some sort of goofy animation showing up my pitcher in a non-big spot, will get dotted in the head his next AB.

That last line is gold. I see your point, too. Almost every team has a thing they do when they get a base hit. Usually not doing it in a blowout. You even see some guys do it reluctantly when they reach base. I can deal with it being overdone. Perhaps, throw a camera cut on the pitcher while it goes on in the backround out of sight? Make sure you don't aim at the head...

It's funny because I haven't noticed a difference in face appearance of minor leaguers. Of course AAA will be most accurate and AA players just generic. Hopefully OSFM rosters will change that

Re: MLB The Show 18 The Little Things

Game 2 of the season in my carryover franchise I got a message in the pregame lineup screen that said "Joe Mauer is dealing with an undisclosed family emergency and won't be available for today's game"

I've never seen that before, and it was a cool touch that forced me to work my lineup.

The only negative was nobody mentioned it during the broadcast. Would have been cool to hear "Vargas starting over at first today with Mauer not in the ballpark tonight dealing with a family matter." But still a fun extra challenge.

FWIW, Vargas raked and I still lost 4-1.

I have not noticed that yet, but can I comment on how bad the player model/face scan is for Wilmer Flores? He looks so off in the game. He is one of the few on the team I can't watch. Also Todd Frazier looks horrible as well. Shouldn't be this inaccurate for veterans.

The manager yelling at the ump for a bad call on a pitch is so nice to see. Also, I had a RTTS update for my club in the middle of the game during franchise. That was awesome.

I see the intentional walk rule made it in this year. It was cool touch. You hit the intentional walk button and it show's the manager. The four finger treatment...

Re: MLB The Show 18 The Little Things

Some questions about franchise mode. Is it possible to simulate a game and force a winner? Is it possible to not automatically substitute a defensive player (like an infielder plays outfield one day and is replaced by an actual outfielder)? Is it possible to skip waivers?

I'm sure there are more and I'll bring them up later. For the last four years I've controlled all 30 teams with 100% accurate rosters. Lots of fun

I love all the stretch deliveries they have in the game now... Can finally give all relievers on your staff something different!

Started a Yankees franchise last night, and during the middle of the 3rd they showed a skyline shot of Toronto. Honestly had to do a double take. This game is absolutely gorgeous on the pro.

Todd Frazier hasn't had his face scanned. He hasn't gotten in for it. SDS hasn't ignore that or been inaccurate. But non-face scans will certainly stand out.

I haven't played enough to notice, but have there been many planes of different color in the game? That would be pretty cool to see. I barely got through one game so far due to my schedule. Seeing a Southwest or JetBlue, Delta plane would be the ultimate thrill, but in reality it just isn't feasible due to sponsoring
