With NINETEEN games left in the season, here is our lineup and some stats. Average starting pitching, but a great bullpen. Everyone in our lineup vs RHP at least is hitting 20 HRs, minus Catcher Tyler Flowers @ 18

220 more runs then 2nd place!!!! 4 guys with 100+ RBI and likely 5 at least by seasons end

6 guys leading for silver sluggers. Joc (DH), Thames (1B), Murphy (2B), Jose Ramirez (3B), Dane Marshall (me, SS), Mike Trout (CF).

Up until september call ups, we had Adam Eaton leading off vs LHP while Joc went to the bench, now Jorge Polanco and his 89 contact vs lhp slides in at DH at the 8 spot while Eaton rides the bench

This is all while Mike Trout is having a career worst season hitting just over .280 and posting a career low of 7.9 WAR (lol)

I turned my trade sliders down for the reason you just posted....lol. There is hardly anyone left on that team from the starting point but Trout. Cozart, Andrelton, J. Upton, K. Calhoun, etc. Totally unrealistic.

After the showcase when you enter the draft....if you are drafted by a team you don't want you can quit out of the game right there and reload the save right at the draft everytime. There are about half a dozen teams that you will usually be limited to. For me my options are pretty much Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Anaheim, San Diego, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Miami. The Braves have the 5th pick in that order and I tried a gazillion times to get selected by them and would never happen.
Also noticed that regardless if I SIM the showcase or play it....has ZERO impact on where I'm drafted. I've had as little as 2 hits through 2 showcase games and as much as 4 HR's, multiple stolen bases, high batting avg., etc. and it changes nothing. Also....with that imported player that is in the high 80's.... I can SIM through the minors and it plays about the same everytime. You always are asked to move to 1B and you have a couple options there. I can manipulate that outcome regardless of the team needs and return to my original position. After the last patch, maybe coincidence, but instead of being asked to move to 1B with the Phillies I was asked to move to CF.

This was started at the beginning of the 2017 season . 2 offseasons and 3 trade deadlines. No upton, cozart etc to start. I play SS so they traded Simmons. Jose was only 82-83 overall year 1

Gotcha. I used the version 9 of OSFM rosters for the player I imported and all those guys are there. So it's no Ohtani, Pujols, Cozart, Upton, Simmons, Kinsler, etc..... Great team though.... definitely a contender.

On the trade sliders note.... another reason I tuned down is I had a save where I got drafted by the Padres. In the 4 months before I got to the majors they had already traded away Wil Myers, Margot, and Asujai.

I personally play every at bat of my RTTS careers, and there is nothing more frustrating then losing all motivation to continue it, and stop it for good, because the AI logic makes terrible moves for your team and leaves you stranded. Happens to so many people. Thats why I said I always keep multiple save points, to backtrack if any bad trades happen, and sim the deadlines/offseasons multiple times because the only way to keep it fresh and keep me motivated to play every at bat is seeing the progress of a team and seeing a powerhouse being built like the Angels have lol

This exactly, I turn off the auto save and save it manually just because of the AI logic at times. This is not for everyone but it works for me. JMHO.

I too play every game, every AB, all defensive opportunities, and action plays base running and I couldn't agree more. I like to land on a team with good young prospects or players and try to win with them a couple of years or more in. I also keep a save that is a week prior to where I am, constantly updating. Basically a save a week so I can go back. Some moves are OK when you are a bat or two away....but I've seen the AI totally wreck a pretty good team with a bright future.

You need to do strength and the attribute and cap raise is random.

I use TNK’s sliders for now. I flip back n forth. I thought about starting a RTTS with the 40 man, but I didn’t trust the uploader. I only downloaded the uploads from the guy who uploaded v1. His name starts with an R.

I’m playing on Dynamic difficulty and it jumps between All-Star+ and Hall of Fame now.

I wanted to keep his power, but he’s a power speed SS. I chose Mr reliable as his archtype. I’m sure I can do well with power at like a 77 and speed 85 when I get good equipment. Hopefully like a 30/30 guy.

Found a weird bug. Well I think I did. Im currently nearing the end of season 1, i think I have 2-3 series left. Currently in AAA and playing pretty good. I did interviews with the news reporters about the phillies calling me up. For whatever reason my social media all is talking about sending me back to AA ball. Obviously doesn't make sense based on my stats or play.

                          Couple Questions though:

Does anyone have any tips on batting? I'm batting .311 but it seems like the only way i can get hits is to take the pitch to the opposite side of the field hugging the foul line. I cant seem to blow one past an infielder, they are making unreal catches and diving plays all the time. Outfielders are literally on everything unless its short.

Is there anyway to manually dive or jump? Theres been a few balls that I have been close to and i feel like a dive or jump could help me make the play. I have done it once or twice but the game prompts me to do it with the showtime(r2) feature.

I think my player is officially cursed, only outcomes I ever get are a line drive out to the left fielder, weak groundout to short (with perfect timing), or a strikeout on a slider that magically clips through my bat (even with good timing). Seems like the slider is just as broken and OP as it was last year as it seems this is the only pitch that routinely causes the glitch where it goes right through the barrel of the bat, I think even the AI knows to abuse this since any pitcher I face that has one just spams it non-stop. On top of that, even when I do make good contact and hit it somewhere I think it will get down for a hit it gets robbed because apparently everyone is a god-like fielder. Think I'm going to put this game down for a week or two because this is way too frustrating. Normally I'd chalk this up to bad luck but the frequency of this honestly makes me feel like trying to fight it is a waste of time.

Made a Bat First Catcher, drafted by the Marlins, simmed my first year and worked my way up to a 71. Got traded to the Rays (didn’t even ask for it) and was immediately called up to AAA to Durham. Three years later, I’m still there, sitting at a solid 89 OVR, waiting to be called up.

You might as well call me Crash Davis.
