    James Paxton? Robbie Ray?

Gonna be doing an Angels franchise. Trout is untouchable obviously, pujols too due to contract. What would Upton's value be? And also, does Kinsler,Cozart and/or valbuena have much value at all? thanks

Upton and Cozart would be very hard to trade as they just signed an extension and just signed with the team on pretty big deals.

Kinsler trade with Detroit is his value.

Valbuena doesn't have much if any value.

how about Kole Calhoun? I figured as much on your answers. Looks like I'll be in for a doozy.

Kole actually has some decent value. He is under control, and is valued around $28 million in surplus.

That can get you a top 51-100 prospect and a lotto or two. He is quite valuable for what his contract is.

Not sure if a mod wants to sticky this again this year, but may as well bring it up if a mod does want to so it's easier to find for everyone.

What do I have to give up to get Archer to the Yankees. I know that it is inter division but I am just curious. Thanks

I’m the Brewers and I’m looking to unload an outfielder. How close does Phillips or Broxton get me to Strickland, and how much do I have to add?

                    A couple of questions:

How are you gets getting a player's monetary value? Is there a calculator somewhere?

                    Also, what's a lotto ticket?

                    Thanks!

Just a simple calculation someone came up with awhile back.

Contracted years × WAR × price of 1 WAR - contracted salary = surplus value

                      That's the simple way.

Lotto ticket is a low overall that is also a lower potential.

You might have to wait until a team needs an OF due to injury or at the deadline. It's be a pure salary dump and you'd have to take a lottery ticket in return since you can't eat any of the money.

Does FanGraphs have their 2018 prospect value chart as of yet? I found this very helpful last year for trades. Thanks

Starting a franchise with the Orioles. Would like to acquire one of Santana/Broxton/Phillips. Plan on simming to the deadline to do these deals to see if I need to move on from Machado too.

What would make sense going back to MIL?

                            Thanks

What would it take to get Edwin Diaz of the Mariners to the Cubs. I know this wouldn't be realistic. But I would just like to know value wise what it would cost. Since he is a reliever I'm unsure of what to give up. Thanks.
