    1.
    SF gets: Phillips/Santana/Broxton
    MIL gets: Pitchers (Possibly Strickland?)
    2.
    ATL gets: Ryan Rua
    TEX gets: Pitching
    3.
    OAK gets: Yasmani Grandal
    LAD gets: ?
    4.
    DET gets: Kolten Wong
    STL gets: Nike Goodrum

Not sure how well these work
Strickland for Broxton works fine. Strickland is solid, and Broxton gets most of his value on defense, but their WAR meet up pretty well.

    Random lotto ticket pitcher works.

Why would they need Grandal with Lucroy?

Cardinals probably want one more lower prospect.

I accidentally typed OAK instead of LAA
Sounds good though. Thanks for the help

Chapman is roughly going to be worth ~$138 million in surplus...

For example the #1 prospect in baseball is ranked at $73.5 million in surplus.

He can almost bring in two (!) number one prospects. Givens is not even close to enough.

With the Brewers I look at it as they are adding a major league ready catcher. I really want to add Anderson so I think it would make the most sense in finding a match between the 2 teams.

The problem with trading for a guy like Chapman is he himself only as 84 games in the majors so he is still prospect status. It's hard finding fair value for a player like that as there aren't a lot of prospect for prospect trades. As the O's I would be the aggressor trying to pry him loose for Oakland. I agree Givens alone isn't close but what could be added to Givens to get closer?

Is RP Kyle Barraclough enough to net Broxton from the brewers? They have an absolute logjam at OF and he would give a team planning to contend another bullpen piece. with almost identical career WAR

Does Kyle Gibson have any trade value whatsoever.

On an unrelated note, the Twins were talking about trading for Colin McHugh this winter. What does it take to get Houston to give him up?

Archer is going to hurt for interdivision trading as he is already a good bit valuable.

Florial + Sheffield + one more decent prospect would likely get it done.

Since Florial and Sheffield are both 55 FV could I do chance Adams and Albert abreu who are both 55 FV as well and through in a good 50 FV guy like Luis Medina.

Honestly don't think that would get it done. Don't see the Rays trading away Archer for a deal headlined by a guy just in the top 50, any deal almost certainly starts with Clint Frazier imo. It's such a team friendly deal, they aren't in any hurry to sell him for anything short of a lot

Rays turned down Tucker, Martes, Paulino & TWO additional prospects for Archer.

I’m a Rays fan and I think it was stupid not to make that move, but that’s just an idea of what the Rays FO wants for him.

Can't see any reason why they'd want him if they are in full rebuild. (which they'd have to be to trade Archer)

Do you have any options on a starting pitcher I could get for Adams, abreu, and Perez? 2 55 FV and a 50 FV

Honestly, I thought Florial was ranked higher.

                            It would be more like:

Frazier, Adams, Florial, Sheffield, and Gallegos for Archer and Colome.

                            Yasmany has negative trade value...

He won't be in any useful trade.

Gibson almost has zero trade value. One very low lotto ticket at best.

Stephen Gonsalves + lotto ticket would secure a McHugh deal.

Any thoughts on swinging Eric Thames from the brewers? I’d get a left handed bat on a decent contract for 2 years, that stays with the Astros principles of multiple positions (albeit not great). I feel like I may be able to also grab a lotto ticket or 2 on the relief end with this trade?

I mean, the Brewers did say Ryan Braun is starting opening day at 1B...so that in a sense makes Thames available.

Thames value is roughly ~$30 million as a 1.5 WAR player.

McHugh is worth roughly ~$15 million I believe I figured earlier.

Sipp is basically negative value now.

Reed has a negative WAR in very small sample size as he only has 128 at bats...plus he isn't even considered a top 20 prospect anymore in the Astros system.

Brewers likely say no, but I'm sure they would enjoy McHugh.
