Yankees and Red Sox both get extremely ripped off with these deals. If the Cubs call up Cashman and DD in real life and propose these trades the Cubs get laughed at and the Yankees and Sox both hang up the phone.

To each their own though, if you are fine with them both being unfair and unrealistic then cool, it’s your game.

I agree on its your game and do as you please but do not bring that crap into a thread for people that are seriously wanting real help on making fair trades

So I just past the first year player draft and I think there is about a month and a half before the trade deadline and the Reds are in dead last. What would it take to get Scotter Genett? Also what would it take to get both Genett and Rafael Iglesias. I’m the Mets and all prospects are available. I have a sizable lead for the first wild card spot and I’m about 4 games behind the Nationals. I need to get Asdrubal out of the starting lineup and I just lost swarzack for the season. I definitely want Scotter and maybe Iglesias depending if I can afford both of them.

          Scotter stats are .258/.311/.352 4HR 24Rbi and 1 steal.

Iglesias stats are 2-4 4.88 Era 1.28 Whip and 12 saves

Can you guys help on a few moves i'd like to make in my 30 team control

              Duffy from KC to LAA
              Fulmer from DET to ATL
Nate Jones from CWS to WAS
Kyle Barraclough from MIA to HOU
              Broxton from MIL to WAS

I know the Fulmer one is impossible because i've seen you guys say his value is ridiculously high, but i'd like to try and get him to the Braves.

Was actually thinking about this earlier...Fulmer’s value is something like $164 mil.

I think any deal that doesn’t include half a dozen pitching prospects would have to include Albies or Acuna, but I also don’t think they’d move either...very interested to hear potential deals that anyone has in mind.

Scooter Gennett has 1 year at $5.7 mil and another arb year remaining. I’m just gonna make an estimate and say his last arb year will be 7.5 mil. So I might be doing the math wrong but for scooter I’m getting

                    Bref: contracted year (2) X avg war over 4 years(1.325) X War(8.5)= 22.53- 13.2 = 9.33 surplus value

                    Rafael Iglesias
                    Bref : contracted years(3) X avg war (1.967) X war(8.5) = 50.16 - 16.43 = 33.73 surplus value

So I’m looking at 43.06 surplus value. Would this be a fair trade

1B Dom Smith or 1B Peter Alonso
                    SP Justin Dunn
                    SS Andres Gimenez
                    OF Desmond Lindsay
                    For
                    2B Scooter Gennett
                    CL Rafael Iglesias

So dom smith or Alonso to give them a 1B of the future once votto retires. Gimenez gives them a SS/2B prospect who is most likely in the 125 range. And lastly Dunn and Lindsay gives them another decent SP and OF prospect.

What's the value on Corey Dickerson and what would it take to get him back on the Rockies?

Even though Rockies have a full outfield both in MLB and on the farm, and the Pirates actually trading him away is probably unrealistic as hell, I loved playing with Dickerson on my Rockies franchise that I started back on 15 and carried forward into 16. I found it easy as hell to get hits with him and he ended up being one of my best hitters and has become one of the players that I enjoy playing with and would love to have on my roster, even if there may be better players already on it.

I haven't decide for sure if I am going to try and trade for him, nor when I would do so, either right away or later near the trade deadline, but just want to get an idea at what it would take to pull it off.

I really like Scooter Gennett, so I get the interest. I'll try and give you a decent trade option at the bottom of this post as I'm technically answering in order here.

I think somebody else asked for Herrera's value. It took a serious hit after last year's performance.

KC REC: Jo Adell, Kevin Maitan, Griffin Canning
LAA REC: Danny Duffy, Michael Gigliotti

I'm pretty sure this works. LA's best prospects are position players but KC without question would want Canning to make up for the arm they're losing so we even the deal out by sending a position player in Gigliotti back there way.

DET REC: Ronald Acuna, Mike Soroka, Luiz Gohara, Max Fried, Austin Riley
ATL REC: Michael Fulmer, Nicholas Castellanos

Okay. This is the first Fulmer trade that I've felt good about. Fulmer is amongst the most expensive in baseball right now. He's also one of the only bright spots on a fairly depleted and beat up Detroit roster right now. He is going to cost a haul. I almost don't care what anyone else has to say about Acuna, in my opinion, there is no deal without him. ATL has to be GOING for it to do this trade. Castellanos makes up for the starting outfielder Atlanta is losing in Acuna but Atlanta has to part with 5 total Top 100 prospects to swing this deal. You might wait for affirmation from somebody else on if they think this works too.

CWS REC: Seth Romero, Luis Garcia
                          WAS REC: Nate Jones

I could be undervaluing Chicago's return.

MIA REC: JB Bukauskus, Yordan Alvarez, David Paulino
                          HOU REC: Kyle Barraclough

I think this is solid. Miami retools with two future rotation arms and Yordan who can either play a corner outfield spot or fill in for the inevitably dealt Bour at First Base. Houston gets a pretty highly sought relief arm.

MIL REC: Juan Soto, Wil Crowe
                          WAS REC: Keon Broxton

I honestly don't like these two as trade partners. The National's best prospects are all in positions in which Milwaukee is deep in talent. I could see a swap for Soto if Milwaukee also intended to deal Santana. But yeah, I don't like the match much and don't feel overly confident in what I came up with.

I'm going to update your math as we've been using different numbers. I've only been running 3 years of past play as opposed to your four and we're also using 9WAR as opposed to 8.5WAR now. Here is what I get:

                          18.8M for Gennett
                          58.9M for Iglesias

That is 77.7M in surplus. To be honest, that is a lot of surplus to be bringing back to a team that doesn't have a prospect in the Top 100. Dominic Smith's value has taken a massive hit, he's not worth what he once was. You probably won't like this but I think this is the only way that Cincinnati does this deal.

                          NYM REC: Gennett, Iglesias, Schebler
                          CIN REC: Conforto, Gimenez, Dunn

Somebody else can intervene if that looks slanted but I think Conforto has to be the primary return for Cincinnati. Otherwise, I don't believe in the Mets farm system enough to see why Cincinatti would send them a good second baseman and a top-end closer for a package that doesn't include a single Top 100 Prospect.

I'm getting 24.7M Surplus for Dickerson. I think this could be fair:

PIT REC: Riley Pint, Raimel Tapia, Colton Welker
                            COL REC: Corey Dickerson

I have no idea how you're going to fit all of those Outfielders on your squad. Dickerson, Parra, Desmond Blackmon, Dahl and Gonzalez.

Dickerson was basically given away for pennies in trade to Pittsburgh. Rockies wouldn't give their #3-#4 prospects
plus young contrable outfielder for Dickerson.

You could probably get away with trading a lottery ticket

That’s way to rich for me to include Iglesias into the deal. Might have to look at other team for a RP. What would it take just to get Scooter? Would

                                1B Alonso
                                SS Gimenez
                                SP Marcus Molina
                                For
                                2B Gennett

A other person told me of these deal a while ago where I could send Luis Guillorme,Anthony Kay, and possibly Jacob rahme for Nate Jones. So I might just do that to get a RP
