Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion

I’ve been really busy for the last week, I’ll try to get the log updated with any deals that occurred while I was absent and help with any deals that are pending tomorrow and Tuesday.

I’m playing a Mariners franchise an can’t pitch with Felix Hernandez to save my life. I know trading him might be unacceptable for Mariners fans but what could I expect for him.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion

Long story short I am a huge Mets fan but for some reason I dont like to play in sports games as my favorite team. SO I am running in this years game with the Angels but my favorite player in Conforto and I want him with me but only in a fair trade

So looking for some advice on what would be fair. I would part with anyone but Trout, Upton and Ohtani.

I would add Calhoun obviously so they get an OF back but what else?

          Thanks in advance.

MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion

Looking to beef up my starting pitching as the Blue Jays. Lost Happ for 2 months and my staff is getting hit around. I could trade from the farm or I could move Kevin Pillar. He is hitting just under .200 with his usual defence in CF. He has 1 HR and 2 steals. I would like to keep Hernandez in the bigs as he is playing well while Smoak is out for two weeks.

I am one month into the season. Is there any scenario where I could deal Pillar to a team (potentially with additions) for a middle of the rotation starter and maybe a lotto ticket depth bat or reliever?

            Thanks!

I actually wrote down a large list of my possible trade targets for a Rox chise I'm messing around with. It's mostly a list of guys on not great teams, in the last year of their deal, or coming up on their first FA year.

Anyway here's some guys off that list:

                  Hyun-Jin Ryu 71ovr 31yo 1.2m last year
                  Garrett Richards 83ovr 29yo 3.9m last year
                  Hishashi Iwakuma 77ovr 36yo 4.4m last year
                  Cole Hamels 83ovr 34yo 5.8m last year
                  Doug Fister 77ovr 34yo 2.6m last year
                  Matt Moore 71ovr 28yo 5.9m last year
                  Patrick Corbin 77ovr 28yo 2.6m last year

                  Just some idea pieces

Thanks for that list. I will have a look when I get home and see if any of these players could fit in a Pillar trade. Otherwise, I will send prospects.

I will post who looks like they are out of it when I get home. Only a month in, so normally I wouldn’t want to make a big trade already, but I think I need to in order to compete. The free agent market does not look appealing.

Is Pillar on the last year of his deal or is he still in ARB? He still has ARB years left doesn't he?

He has 2 more ARB years after this year. As far as I am aware he has a decent surplus value as well.

No chance you'd want to eat the Choo contract huh?

Cause feels to me not looking at any numbers or anything, that if you'd eat that then Choo + Hamels for Pillar and maybe possibly a lower prospect sounds great for Texas to me.

You get what you want in Hamels and Choo isn't far off that little bat you wanted as extra. Texas moves Hamels which they had to do anyway, get out from under Choo, and Pillar gives Tavares, Martinez, and Gonzalez no rush to be ready to call up. As well as gives them a valuable trade piece in Pillar in the future.

                              Sounds win-win to me.

I would take Choo. I am not getting much out of Grandy or Grichuk other than homers, so I could use the depth.

So what kind of prospect are we talking tanking wise on my top 30?

This looks like a good deal! Thanks so much
