My Angels bullpen is becoming pretty bad. What can I do to bolster it? Open to any trades, really. Thanks in advance.

Probably can't get a bullpen ace or anything, but I'll come up with two deals for you to have.

        Angels Receive:
        Rasiel Iglesias $52.8 million

        Reds Receive:
        Jo Adell $24.1 million
        Brandon Marsh $20.2 million
Alex Meyer (now potentially he has ~$31 million in surplus, but thanks to injury and age he is more likely a lotto ticket...but a really good potential one to be MLB ready which isn't normal for a lotto ticket)

        White Sox Receive:
        Jahmai Jones ~$20 million

        Angels Receive:
Nate Jones *team options involved* ~$23 million

You land two big righties that can both close. Lose three of your four top 100 prospects in the making of this however.

So i'm trying to learn the formula and let me know if i did this right.

          Mike Trout
          8.9x6 =53.4
          10x3 =30
          9.7

          total: 93.1

          186.2-68

          118.2 surplus value

          (Used Baseball Reference)

Trout was hurt but a "safe" WAR estimate for him is roughly 9 WAR. So 9 x 9 x 3= $243 - 102 (contract) so roughly $141 in surplus. Also as crazy as it sounds 9 may be low balling him for his WAR prediction.

Basically it's extremely hard to trade for him as it should be.

But if you're asking for how to do the math it's

            6.7 x 6
            10.5 x 3
            9.4
            Total : 81.1 ÷ 10
            Average of 8.1

In a realistic world, he is as off limits as Ohtani as well. Might be the most valuable player in baseball.

Oops just realized I didn't use the baseball reference numbers instead i used the WAR numbers on the show itself. I used BR for another player.

Personally I think it would be beneficial to the Angels to trade him and get 2-3 MLB caliber players + 2-3 top prospects for him while is value is higher than it will ever be.

Kinda tempted to see if i can make a fair (unrealistic) trade for him to see if i can get him to eventually break Bonds' home run record.

I'm assuming you're the Pirates based on user name. I don't think you have the young talent to make it happen

                      I don't think I do either but i had a successful draft i got:

                      19yo/70ovr/92pot RF
                      19yo/74ovr/89pot SP
                      18yo/65ovr/89pot SS
                      21yo/68ovr/87pot SP
                      22yo/64ovr/88pot SP
                      18yo/66ovr/90pot CF
                      19yo/62ovr/86pot SP

                      (I actually scouted this year!)

With the successful draft I can do a PTBNL situation until those players are available to trade

In my franchise I'm 60-42 and the Angels are a few games under .500

I'll say the same thing I did when you were trying to deal for Ohtani, I'm sure somebody can give you a value that makes things "equal" but there is no realistic trade that gets you Trout. He is the face of baseball and is worth far more than anything you can reasonably provide.

Oh boy. Trout trades now? Haha.

He can basically bring in Acuna, Ohtani, Torres (last year #1 prospect)

That's three #1 prospects in baseball and he can with ease be traded for, let's assume they're all on the Pirates, all of them straight up.

It's suicide for a team to even try to acquire him.

Trying to figure out Mychal Givens trade value. I have an idea but wondering everyone else thoughts.

For Arbitration Years I followed contract of Brad Brach.
                            2018 - .567
                            2019- 1.25
                            2020- 3.5
                            2021- 5.0

                            So his Value - Contract = 43.92 - 10.25 = 33.67

What are we feeling on his value?

And trying to think for Richard Bleier whose coming into his own as a good left handed specialist. He has control for 4 more years but is 31 as of now. I'm thinking two lottery tickets.

I would appreciate any help on these potential trade ideas that I want to run by you guys. No rush on a response as I'm just entering June in my Padres franchise and just want something to think about come trade deadline time.

I already have a proposed trade in place (per a previous post I made in here) to acquire Mike Moustakas from the Royals for SP prospect Logan Allen (20 yo, B potential) so thas me locking up third base. I plan on moving Christian Villanueva to 2B which means Jose Pirela has to go. I also am at my wits end with Hunter Renfroe. It may come back to bite me but I dont see him turning the corner and becoming an overall great hitter so he has to go as well.

That said, I'm looking to acquire Trey Mancini to take over LF for us and at the moment the Orioles are actually 29-28 on the year. What would it take for me to pick him up if the Orioles (like IRL) arent competing closer to the deadline? Also I like to see about getting Yasiel Puig from the Dodgers to man RF if I end up actually trading away Vilaneuva and moving Myers to second base. And last but not least, if the Twins are out of it come playoff time, what are the chances they would trade 3B Miguel Sano? How bout SS Jorge Planco? I have tons of prospects I wouldn't mind letting go so again, any help with these would be greatly appreciated.
