Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
I could give them Maese. Would I be able to take C Curt Casali back as well? I am not getting much from Maile. I could add a lotto ticket
So final deal would be:
Texas gets: Pillar, Maese, Lotto ticket
Toronto gets: Hamels, Choo, Casali.
Thanks for your help!

MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
If we're doing this according to the way that we've been doing it (surplus value/future value), Hamels is worth $9.2 million. Pillar is worth $52 million, and Choo is worth -$18.8 million. Feel free to take Choo's contract back and to give up a prospect, but you're getting ripped off man.
There's a spreadsheet with player values on the first post of this thread.
So you’re saying I could get Hamels and a better player back for Pillar? I would be open for that. I didn’t realize the difference in surplus was that much. Any suggestions of a player I could get with Hamels?
DeShields is someone who stands out for me as I would love to acquire some speed.

If you're going for realism though, it seems like a weird move to trade your number 1 starter for a CF who is a light hitter...I know you said earlier that you didn't want to move prospects, but you shouldn't have to go crazy if you want him.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Either the trade logic is broken or I'm not reading this correctly. Did the Reds trade for Drew Ward from the Nats, only to trade him a few days later to the Twins, then a few days later trade for him again? Then they traded him back to the flipping Nationals, where he started in the first place? Simultaneously while the Twins and Nats rotated 3B's in side deals of their own?
I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Packs of wild dogs that have taken over most of the major cities.

MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Well Pillar is batting .182 for me in the first month. Teoscar Hernandez is up for me and batting well, so I want to play him more. My team is dead last in steals and I have injury issues to my rotation, so my bullpen has been overworked and it’s showing in their stats recently
This deal would let me play Hernandez more often, while adding some speed. Hamels would give me some much needed rotation help and I would take Curt Casali as well to backup at catcher.
Feels like I am taking too much for Pillar, but if that’s what the value is and I am getting the seal of approval, then I will go ahead with the deal.
Edit: I read your post wrong. If you think I am better off moving prospects then I can. Otherwise I can look elsewhere to move Pillar later in the season. I don’t want to move any major prospects, hence why I though Pillar was a nice piece to give them.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
I did a search to see if Bumgarner’s value has been discussed, but did not find anything in here. In my Braves franchise, I’m doing much better than expected, but I know I need a really solid SP come playoff time. So what would the Braves need to give up for Bum? Giants are 7-under .500 at all-star break while Braves are first in NL but have 4.59 team ERA (by far my worst pitching season ever).Comment

Deshields value is calculated to $28.7 million + Hamels $9.2 for Pillar @ $52 mil value wise, but...

Would it be more realistic to take Volquez (not injured in my franchise) or Moore + DeSheilds for Pillar? That way, Texas doesn’t have to give their top starter?

I was selling so mine is a bit different (And I'm not at home right now so I'm not 100% sure who I got back), but I moved Pillar and Happ to Atlanta to fill a couple of their holes, and took back the Markakis contract, Newcomb (Who I pegged as having relatively close value to Allard, Soroka and Gohara @ $32.2 mil), and another pitching prospect who I can't remember right now, but was a low B potential.
Did it match up 100%? No, but it was close and filled up a couple of holes for both sides.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment
