I'm not opposed to this either.
What's the need to trade Abreu? Just want to make a splash or trying to helping the rebuilding efforts.

I don't see the Yankees being one teams of need for him. Plus realistically Yanks want to stay under tax threshold all year.

Teams to trade Abreu to for prospects

    Astros
    Red Sox - Jackie Bradley
    Cardinals - Pitching
    Indians
    Rangers
Rockies for Ryan McManhon or Ramiel Tapia
    Mets for Dominic Smith

I'd think it be more realistic for you to land Drury and Abreu than other deals

I just want Drury, Abreu doesn't matter to me. I just wasn't sure if NY would want DeShields straight up and knew first base is something they could improve on.

Well if Yanks have Donaldson you can move a lottery ticket type player like Josh Morgan for Drury

Not sure why the Yankees would already be dealing Drury, but let's see.

Drury has what $44 million in value roughly?

Willie Calhoun straight up is about the value of him I would say, $44 million seems steep to me, but hey that's the 51st ranked prospect in baseball.

Jose Abreu. Let's explore a trade to the Rockies. They need one more big thumper and a 1B. Good match.

He has roughly $28.5 million in surplus.

Riley Pint and Yency Almonte/Forrest Wall would be perfect.

Edit: Delino has roughly $47 million in value. So you could deal Drury to Texas, Delino to 3rd team, 3rd team reliever or prospect to NYY.

In reality, I don't think the Yankees would move on from Drury but given they have Donaldson in my chise now, I think he's become expendable. I'm away from my comp/console right now, would a team like San Diego be interested? I could in turn, flip Hand to New York.

              That's right, forgot that trade.

I would say no. They just signed him long-term, and Drury nor Delino truly fit in with that team.

                NYY REC: Kyle Barraclough

That looks fine. Marlins don't need a RP on a rebuilding team. Add in another outfielder to roll with Brinson and another body.

Perfect. Eventually I'm going to put together that "Three Team Trades" section to the log but I'm enjoying playing the game right now. I probably need to go in and update it with some of the more recent deals as well.

Alright guys in here for the first time for my Yanks chise.

Late May my best ERA pitcher Jordan Montgomery Fractured his arm he's out about 2 months. None of my prospects are ready for the big time. I've checked the block and Wacha is own there from St. Louis. I've been contemplating how I was going move Greg Bird this year and they are seeking 1B.

Now I know Greg Bird has 20m value at least on the sheet, but I don't know Wacha's. He does have another ARB year after this one.

Anyway basic outlier of the trade is:

                        NYY get: SP Michael Wacha

                        STL get: 1B Greg Bird

As much as I would love this trade IRL as a Yankees fan, there’s no way the Cardinals would agree to this trade under any circumstance in my opinion.

Well it's just the outlay of the trade, not all I was willing give up. I'm not suggesting a Bird for Wacha trade straight up.

He's just who they have on the block, they want 1B, I wanna move Bird. So that's the main 2 involved, I'm looking for feedback from the guys to build around it.

I agree STL probably wouldn't be looking to even move Wacha this year, but the Cards in my chise apparently have so imma roll with it lol.

I am not sure if I even give Bird $20 million in surplus at this point. $15 would be my maximum.

I am not sure why people like Wacha, he isn't that great and is never consistently healthy. His value probably caps out at $15 million over the next two seasons.

Bird for Wacha works straight up, but you know the Cardinals wouldn't do that.

I'm in the middle of the month of May in my Dodgers Franchise and both Bellinger and Seager have gone down with injuries. Bellinger is only out for 1-2 months, while Seager is sadly done until playoffs or for the season. Any suggestions for a first baseman I could trade for to hold down the fort until Bellinger is back? I saw the Freeman deal in the Spreadsheet, but I'm looking more for someone that is an average player that can still produce. Also, what would a fair trade be to bring Machado to LA? He's my top option with Hechavarria right behind him only because he might be cheaper. It all depends on what I would have to give up for Machado. Thanks!
