Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Gotcha. I actually agree that they should move him for a guy like kyle schwarber or montgomery or Verdugo. They all have many years of control that could help them reload instead of rebuildComment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Hi guys,
Any trade ideas for Didi Gregorius? I'm still early in my chise, 2nd behind BOS (They are like 28-8, ridiculous!).
Can't hit with him and might give more playing time to Wade, Torreyes, Andujar (keeping Torres for a year in minors).
I'm trying to find a potential club for him but everyone seems to have a good SS or a great prospect at SS. I also look for 3B (to move him there) and the result is kind of the same. The only team I saw could be the DBacks.
The other option (don't know how realistic it could be) to enlarge the # of clubs for him would be to send him to an average club so they can sign him longterm for a youngish vet presence.
Any potential trades (at least, I want the value right if not realistic).
Thanks!Comment

Is there any deals that could happen that would not include Verdugo or Buehler?Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
They're dealing their big name and they will want some names for him so they seem competent at the very least.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Thanks. I'll keep that in mind. One offer I was thinking was Mitchell White, DJ Peters/Yusniel Diaz, and Gavin Lux for Machado. I know Ruiz is ranked higher in the farm system, but I don't think they have a need for a Catcher.Comment

Being an Oriole fan I would hope the package includes at least one of Verdugo or Buehler. But for video game purposes does a package of Buehler, and Yusniel Diaz or DJ Peters work?Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Orioles Receive:
Joc Pederson 35
Mitchell White 15
Julio Urias (?)
Dodgers Receive:
Manny Machado 36
Brad Brach 12
Zach Britton 23.6
Three for three swap. Joc and Machado match up. Three years of control for Baltimore, Dodgers free up some room in the outfield for Verdugo. Brach and White are close enough, the #99 prospect in baseball I believe so Orioles get a top prospect and a pitcher.
Julio Urias was my interesting idea.
Who knows if he comes back to form, he is missing 2018 anyway for the Dodgers, why not get the potentially best left handed reliever to hang with Jansen and try to re-sign him.
Brach - Britton - Jansen 7-8-9
1B Bellinger
2B Turner
3B Seager
SS Machado
This sounds like a deal the Orioles would accept because they add a power hitting potential lefty to the outfield for the next 3+ years, and two very controllable arms that are under control for 6 years with one of them being a former top prospect before TJ and the other being in the top 100 prospects list.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
You nailed the problem. The Dodgers are catcher rich. But the Orioles have Chance Sisco already. I think at least one of Verdugo or Buehler need to be involved

Though, after a potential deal the Dodgers could also deal Grandal for prospects to replenish the farm a bit.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Just my opinion but I wouldn't let Sisco stop you from including a catching prospect. Our next best catcher prospect is Austin Wynns who is 27 and more similar to Caleb Joseph. Good defense but not so great with the bat. Plus, the jury still out on Sisco and his ability to become an everyday catcher in the majors with his game calling and defense still being major question marks.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Trying to shed some payroll for next season with my Jays franchise.
I've got some room right now to take back salary.
Thoughts on a Kendrys Morales (2 years @ $11.5/yr) for James Shields (1 year, $21 mil) trade? Morales replaces Davidson as DH, and provides a veteran bat in their young lineup, while I eat the Shields contract since he's not playing anyway.
I'd be willing to toss a low-end lottery ticket to the Sox if that helps.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Grandal is an option too, but I can't look to move him right now because he's leading the team in Home Runs with 14 and 1 behind Harper for top in the league haha. Especially after losing Bellinger and Seager.Comment

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion
Yeah that's what I was thinking too haha. I hesitant to move Buehler because I can see him as the future ace of the staff, if I lose Kershaw in Free Agency, but also losing Machado to Free Agency after dealing my top prospect would sting too.
