A pitcher to consider is Aaron Blair (Braves even cut him, so he’s either FA or extremely cheap). Giolito is close to “bust” status as well, but the White Sox are in no hurry to give up on him I’m sure. And his sample size is still small.). A bat that is outside the box a little would be Byron Buxton (sent down this week, hasn’t lived up to hype at all, but enough potential left to cost a decent amount in trade). Another would be Braden Shipley.

Looking for some help. I’m the Rays close to the end of June and it is selling time. I want to move Wilson Ramos who is having a great year (Avg. 280 with 15 homeruns and 45 rbis). What should I be looking for as a return for Ramos?

With that, Anderson eats about $32M of that, with Pache getting another $20M, then it's a matter of if Hudson rises to the $25-30 range or not. Is my math right or am I way off base with my valuations?
IMO, absolutely not. Tigers have no motivation to give him up for anyone that isn’t your top prospect. Not saying Anderson isn’t a good prospect, just saying that he’s headlining a middle of the rotation starter trade, not your future ace.

Pick a name on your team that you absolutely wouldn't trade, and start with him. Then add Anderson.

Anderson is a top-20 prospect by this time in my Franchise (he's 43 IRL right now). Wright is a little higher than he is, so I could use him instead, but both those guys are seemingly interchangeable in the rankings. I figured two years of Fulmer was attainable by giving up a top-20 pitcher, a top-50ish hitter and another pitcher that is somewhere around the top-100.

If I was in 2018 in my franchise, I agree it would take Soroka/Wright + Anderson + a lot more. However, I'm nearing the end of the 2019 season, so Fulmer has two arbitration years coming up and then he's a FA. If he performs outstanding and gets even 7 WAR/year those last two years with his arbitration giving him about $8M/year, his surplus is around $90M. Anderson/Wright/Soroka value in 2018 is $32M each, Pache is about $20M. With where Anderson is in my franchise, he and Wright are around $40M each and Pache is closer to $25M, so the package I put together is somewhere around $80M. The math is there for a package centered on Anderson, and using Wright instead doesn't change the value. But I don't think a package should be $120M+ for 2 years of a pitcher with a surplus of $80M.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion

            May 5, 2018. 30-Team Control.

            Phillies (19-13)
Acquire CP Alex Colome (12.1 IP, 0.73 ERA, 11/11 SV, 12K, 2 BB, 1.54 FIP)
Acquire OF Denard Span (.154/.262/.212, 1 HR, 3 RBI)

            Rays (14-18)
            Acquire 3B Maikel Franco (.232/.308/.358, 3 HR, 10 RBI, 9.9 RC, .126 ISO)
            Acquire SP Franklyn Kilome

-The Phils' bullpen has been rather shaky in the early-going, a problem recently exacerbated by injuries to Neshek and Luis Garcia. In Colome, they acquire a legitimate, reasonably-priced closer with two additional years of team control. Span is a salary dump for Tampa, who was forced to take on his contract in the offseason Christian Arroyo/Longoria deal. Span does offer a veteran presence as a backup outfielder and should produce an OBP around .330 by season's end. The Phillies have more payroll flexibility than any team in baseball and felt that Span's contract was a worthwhile short-term liability in order to acquire Colome.

Franco was at the end of his rope in Philly, having been worn out his welcome with the fan base and being relegated to a part-time role by the hot starts from J.P. Crawford and Scott Kingery. For Tampa, Franco represents a high-ceiling reclamation project who may find a spark in the relative obscurity of Tropicana Field. While the Rays acquired third baseman Christian Arroyo in the offseason, he's been overmatched to this point by Triple A pitching and may need at least a full year of seasoning in Durham. While it appears early for a notable trade like this one, the Tampa front office felt it was an optimal time to seek a return for Colome.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion

My Yankees are 43-37 and are 12.5 games behind the Red Sox in the division and have a 1.5 game lead for the 2nd wild card spot. We lost Sanchez who was having a monster year for 1-2 months. So my offense has been struggling. Also looking for starting pitching. What are your thoughts about these trades? Looking to possibly do both but I don’t want to cheat the CPU.

              Trade 1

              Yankees send:
              Miguel Andujar
              Estevan Florial
              Austin Romine
              Chasen Shreve
              Albert Abreu

              Marlins send:
              J.T. Realmuto .308 6 HR 38 RBI

My thoughts would be when Sanchez comes back I can put him at DH and move Stanton to LF and Gardner to CF and Hicks to the bench.

              Trade 2

              Yankees send:
              Justus Sheffield
              Chance Adams

              Royals send:
              Danny Duffy

Offseason before the 2020 season in my Seattle franchise. I need a CF. Gordons arm has killed me out there. Moving him back to second. Looking to make this trade

                Seattle trades
                LF, Kyle Lewis, 68 Overall, B pot (24 y/o)
                CF, R.Brunson, 67 Overall, A pot (21 y/o)
                SS, Peter Sullivan, 58 Overall, A pot (21 y/o)

                Rays trade:
                CF, Kevin Kiermaier, 29 y/o, 86 Overall, A pot
                (.253 Avg, 14 SB, 13HR, 38 RBI, 3.4 WAR)
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers
                Detroit Red Wings

I am the Yankees and we need pitching. Would I be able to get Blake Snell without giving up Andujar or Torres? Would this be enough? The values add up.

                  Yankees send:
                  Adams
                  Justice
                  Florial
                  Abreu
                  Tate

                  Rays send:
                  Snell

Short answer is absolutely not. It lacks a real headliner. This is a pretty textbook example of quantity over quality and no team is giving you their ace for quantity

If you want to trade for an Ace as the Yankees you need to step back and ask yourself if another team approached the Yankees with this offer for Luis Severino how would you respond. If you wouldn't even consider it for a second, then you probably didn't offer enough.

Thanks for putting that in perspective. I see that the log says I can get Archer who has a 2.20 ERA in the game for Sheffield and Florial plus maybe Tate? Is that still the case or do I need to give up more? My choices are Duffy, Archer, or Snell. I feel Duffy is the cheapest.

Would a trade for kiermaier work right at the end of June as the cardinals if I offered c Kelly, sp Hudson, cf Bader? Could I get close with that? I'm making a push thinking about kiermaier and Machado to compete with Washington as they're crushing everyone.

I'm looking to make Syndergaard/deGrom trades in my franchise. I'm not the Mets, or the teams that are making the trades for them, but the Mets are currently a dumpsterfire without much of a farm, and are fighting it out for worst record in the majors with Miami.

                              deGrom (Roughly $100 mil surplus)

                              -LAD:

                              Alex Verdugo (37.6)
                              Julio Urias (Injured, 45.9)
                              Keibert Ruiz (24.1)
Dustin May (not top 100, so say $15ish?)

Overpay of about $20 mil, but considering deGrom's performance so far this year, he probably puts the Dodgers on top of the West. Could probably throw 3 months of Familia on here if it helped get the deal done.

Syndergaard (Roughly $150 mil surplus...replaced last years lost season w/5WAR, and guesstimated arb salaries). (After the season ends, with the idea being that San Diego is going to make a big push)

                              -Padres:

                              Tatis Jr ($81.4)
                              MacKenzie Gore ($45.9)
Logan Allen (Not in top 100, but 55 fv, so $15.1ish?)
                              One more so/so prospect.

                              Thoughts?

I personally don’t mind the deGrom trade but I don’t like the Syndergaard deal. What kind of push are we talking about here? It’s hard for me to imagine that Preller would be willing to give up Tatis Jr. or even Gore at this point. San Diego is in a weird position in which they’re going to be pretty competitive soon but it’s still another two-three years out. Putting all those eggs in the same basket for Thor just doesn’t seem like a good move for them.
