perhaps i should switch to meter pitching. Analog allows you to paint corners so that may be the bulk of the issue

This is why I don't use Analog. Too easy to be too fine with my pitching.

For me it's a lot harder to hit my spots with Meter or Pulse.

I don’t know what they’ve done to “speed” the pitches up but I now seem to be swinging early on everything. I didn’t have a problem before 1.05

I'll give meter a try again, its unfortunate cause analog is the funnest mechanic IMO, just needs some slight tuning on the dev side and its perfect

Agreed, just didn't feel like it offered a challenge for me, nor did the ratings of the pitcher matter much. Pulse is the most challenging to me, with what I believe is the mode with the most variance.

Have you tried adjusting sliders? Putting User pitch control and consistency at 0 and see if you get results more to what you want?

I'm not much of a slider guy, but I could never get it dialed in. I got impatient, and moved on.

yup i have them both at 0 and it doesnt do anything. Starting to think there is a bug there where those sliders have minimal to no impact on analog pitching

I just have a habit now of cancelling patch downloads when I first turn it on and the downloads start. When I find out the patch doesnt break the game further or mess up the sliders I'm already happy with, I allow it to go through. It only tries to download when I first turn on the ps4, so I just cancel and delete it. It will be back next time if I decide I want it. I guess I've just updates and patches mess up too many games, apps, phones, etc.

What procedure do you follow to accomplish that? Do you cancel it in notifications or disconnect the ps4 from the internet?

Could be by design where your input 100% decides the accuracy of the pitch. I've never tried analog, so I don't know for sure.

The pitch speed is definitely faster now. My old reflexes are back to struggling to pull fastballs again, but that's how it should be.

If you highlight the game before launching and select "options" I think you can see what version you have.

..or you can go to [system updates] in the settings menu (I believe). If your system software is up-to-date, or needs to be updated, it will say so.
