    - 26-man rosters. 28-man in September.
The trade deadline part isnt that big of a deal. We can just turn off trades for the last few months of the season then turn them back on.

The roster changes are pretty big. I doubt we see them implemented at all this year. If MLB would let them id be fine with making the new roster changes take effect from year 1. Cause I don't see them implementing a way for it to automatically change after the first year.

But if you do that CPU logic wouldn’t know it’s going to be the final day of the season to make trades to better themselves.

And these are all good players. 80+. B/A. In their prime years.

I think it's intentional because it came with the whole "new" pitcher development where they locked velocity/movement (for whatever reason).

Yup, same thing has happened in mine down the road. Have to edit EVERY generated pitcher so they pitch the right amount of innings.

This is something I seriously doubt SDS has addressed. Franchise has a few issues like that when going 5+ years into a franchise and has been in the game for years.

Hell I remember a full energized reliever coming in, throwing 7 pitches and it said he was getting tired. I looked at his stamina and it was 7 or 8.

Ever since they made a few attributes not able to progress (speed, stamina, velocity) this has been a particular issue.

Realistic contracts is their "prime addition" this year, so to speak. It's what they think looks better "on the box" or when franchise is talked about more so than "hey we tweaked stamina on development for long term franchises".

I bet a lot of franchisers aren't in year 10 or 17 or some such, even if they carryover and are mostly franchise players. So it probably wouldn't seem like a draw even if they did fix it (or better just go back to the older system before MLB16 I think it was that it was changed).
You don't need to be in year 10 or 17 for the numerous issues with franchise to need a fix. MLBTS 18 was the best ever on the field but there were issues. In my franchise there were zero injuries during games - only in sim games. That's an issue which needs to be fixed. Scouting is far too vague even with the best scouts and with only 7 rounds it is an issue. Budgets are weekly which is a dysfunctional mess to calculate. Progression and regression are odd. There are more but the point is none of those are game breakers but still they need to be addressed. It is the accumulation of small things.

I'll reserve judgement until the game is released but franchise users have been down this road before. It is frustrating to hear franchise is too deep for casual users excuse and therefore we get March to October with a few gimmicks. How many modes do you need for the short attention span users? It would be like GM saying the Corvette is too fast for many drivers so they are going to quit making it.

Love the game, not mad at anybody, just a tad frustrated.

The user shouldn't have to manually turn trades on and off at certain dates in order to get realistic transactions in their Franchise.

The ship has sailed for '19. But these are things that need to be updated for '20. The 26 and 28 man rosters won't go into effect in MLB until next season anyway, along with many other changes. The issue is that the devs have a recent history of focusing on other modes and barely paying attention to Franchise mode. These rule changes will hopefully force their hand and require them to give attention to a mode that's been relatively untouched in years.

If you turn the injury slider up as high as possible then you'll see injuries in games. I've had a bunch this season with players going down for as little as 1-6 days to 2 months.

Right - I hate adjusting sliders but I turned it up two notches and still no injuries. The problem always with sliders is finding the perfect adjustment and that is something that should be done by the people being paid to develop the game - not me. Too many injuries is as bad or worse than no injuries.

It is always curious to see issues like this which were not an issue in previous editions. Somebody changed the code buy why?

                  Turn commentary off.

It will be weird at first, but you will get used to it within 5 to 10 games. I first did it because I found the caster's yakking in my ear every at bat way to distracting. Initially I wished I could just turn it off for my at bats, but soon enough I was hooked an "on the field" audio experience. But it didn't end there.

Soon enough I was adding my own commentary from my head. It was just a natural thing that evolved, and although it's not as intuitive as hearing the voice in your ear, my fantasy commentary was far more dynamic and interesting.

Playing Jays games, I can hear Buck Martinez's voice in my head as I play. I know it's a stretch, and not for everyone, but after watching the streams one of the biggest things that stuck out to me was how much worse of an experience it is with the commentary on. It's just so dry and canned vs the commentary I imagine in my head.
I miss the commentaters having their own Volume slider. I forget which year they took that out. It was nice to just Have Matt call the game and none of the repetitive stories to hear. So now , because it's all or nothing I just turn it off . Sigh
As secondary note . It would be nice of they fixed the player option contract bug and as many have stated before the Stamina/speed regression issue, as well as a better scouting and draft system

I just meant as a workaround for this year assuming its to late to change and they wont patch it. They would have no excuse for these changes to not be in next year.

Didn't buy 19, not buying another version of the show until they address issues that have plagued the show franchise for years.

Also want to see more classic stadiums. Some great historic rosters out there, but they are useless until more stadiums are added.

Actually working on taking the 1987 rosters and making a 1987 for ASB 2005 for ps2. That game had tons of stadiums.

I have an absolute blast with any 80's era roster. even if every team in historical rosters had to play every game at the Trop, I'd still be all in on 80's era rosters lol

I've been thinking of simming a companion franchise in ootp along with playing my show franchise and kind of mirroring the ootp transactions in my show franchise. Anyone tried anything like that?
