Is there any way we can get a fictional roster with everyone being a rookie?

That would essentially be rebuilding a roster from scratch. Plus you might see some funky artifacts in franchise.
You could always check the vault and see if someone did one, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

One of my favorite parts is the replayability of the roster. It's frozen in time and not connected to the real MLB so there's nothing to compare it to except itself.Comment

Fictional rosters (or even partially fictional rosters) can be a tremendous way of very effectively divorcing real life from your franchise. What Bullit said about preconceptions is spot-on....you HAVE to "scout" other teams, you HAVE to learn your own players, and the entire method of evaluating guys is strictly based on what happens in-game. You want to trade for a guy at a certain position, you can't just go "Oh yeah, Team X has a minor leaguer that I want". You'll be sifting through the rosters and using the player search function (most underrated aspect of MLB's mode) a ton. What I love the most...."name value" (which means nothing to the CPU) will also mean nothing to you for quite some time...you'll find yourself being way more objective about trades instead of being mad at the CPU because Tampa traded Wander Franco. That "shallow" franchise mode gets a whole lot deeper when you're forced to use all the tools at-hand.
There are 3 or 4 pretty solid fictional rosters out there. But, I too am an admirer of Bacon's roster because the ratings create so many different "personalities". I love the mix of massive platoon-split guys, (f)utility IFs, & defensively challenged players all mixed-in with the more "normal" everyday starter guys.
Josh, you nailed it man! I'll add by saying those of you (me included) that struggle with wanting rosters to be perfect and so up to date, that you basically never get a franchise off the ground, fictional rosters are a godsend.
Bacon's roster is a game changer! I could never give him enough kudos for his contribution to this community.Comment

You all have got me interested. Can I find this roster in the 19 vault?

Bacons a wizard. I wish someone would do for other sports games what he’s done for MLB The ShowComment

Yeah I've dabbled in fictional rosters, and I totally get it. The only reason I didn't stick with it is because my 2014 carry over is my main game. Although by this point, there are more fictional players in the majors then real ones.
Honestly can't wait for the moment when 100% of the league is fictional. All of my pitching staff are now fictional, and I feel way more attached to them then I would real players. I also feel like I understand them better, as I was forced to scout them and learn about them, as opposed to making assumptions about them based on their real life counterparts.Comment

So I have played the Show for several years and have always heard about the fictional rosters, but have never tried them. I was also getting a little "bored" if you will. So seeing this thread made me finally give them a try. Bacon these are great! I love them! I'm engrossed in a new Braves franchise with these.
