Easy editing of service time and options would be nice. But ultimately, first day buy no matter.

Re: OS Roundtable: How You Feeling About MLB The Show 20 Right Now?
Very positive about it, although I'm not a franchise guy as I don't have the time anymore and I know franchise has been a bit stale in years past. For the way I play, (single player, offline with current rosters for previous days games) I cant really fault what the guys do. Of the things I'd like to see, the guys seem to have addressed. For instance, for the longest time I've wanted more web gems in the outfield...and with the new ball indicator it looks like I'll be able to judge diving plays a little more easily and thus have a few more highlight reel plays. They've also again looked at how important defence is and if the ratings matter more than ever on that front then that’s a huge plus in my book. As long as the team don’t take away control options on the pitching, fielding and hitting, I see another good year of enjoyment for me.
One thing that does need a major look at for me is base running and base running logic (and animations) but I can’t see that being addressed on the current genComment

While I’ll probably never rebrand a team I’m happy for those excited about the addition. Now if they would implement expansion I’d be all in on that.
I am VERY excited for full minor league rosters though. While I’ve always appreciated Ridins roster and Knights before him it was always a tough decision to start my franchise day one or wait for OSFM.
Now hopefully I’ll be able to start day one with all prospects available.[emoji1303]

Excited about 20 especially if they fix jersey numbers and helmet flap selection ( bring back no flaps)

Re: OS Roundtable: How You Feeling About MLB The Show 20 Right Now?
Skipped 18 and 19 in order to try my hand at OOTP. While that game is super in depth and very well developed, it's time to get back to physically crushing a ball 500 feet and watching/listening a ballpark erupt.
I'm pretty stoked about 20...but definitely need/hope to see them add a game number option so I don't have to grind 162 games out like I did in '16...~ Return of the King ~Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: How You Feeling About MLB The Show 20 Right Now?
I have trouble believing that Full Minors means they are naming all the Minor Leaguers. I bet you it means Single A Ball will be playable now. They still don't have the right to use Minor League Players in the game. I can see allot of people getting disappointed when its the same game but with expanded single A. Just make the schedule where it is Rotating every year and you don't have to play the same clubs year after year in interleague. Put injuries in to Manage Only Mode. Fix what is wrong with the game for 5 years now. I Can wait a week for the rosters, but this stuff they refuse to acknowledge like the scheduling or no injury bug is ridiculous.
I can’t disagree with anything you’re saying but I’m still gonna hold out hope for the inclusion of minor league players. If they were expanding rosters why not word it that way. They know what the term Full Minors means to this community and I have to believe they know the expectations they’re raising by using that term.
Can’t wait until confirmation in two weeks.🤞🏻

Re: OS Roundtable: How You Feeling About MLB The Show 20 Right Now?
Do we have an authentic broadcast fielding camera yet? No? Darn. Purple night skies still as well. Ah well, better than brown.
My yearly wishlist for the past eleven years has been limited to addressing these two things, lol. Someday they'll be addressed. Maybe as we look at PS5 then there is a shot. Their one excuse for no broadcast camera is that a ball can be hit down the lines and disappear into a corner, in which case there are far too many things they can do to remedy this and I hope they realize it.
Am I excited, though? Yes. I'd probably be regardless, though. It's in my nature to be. The problem is I don't play the game as it's designed to play, meaning if something is on or set by default, I normally go about it differently anyway, haha.
One other thing I hope for, since I use Retro fielding cam for offense and defense, is that they add the same camera delay on offense (after contact) that every other fielding camera elicits.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: OS Roundtable: How You Feeling About MLB The Show 20 Right Now?
Not to be the downer of the thread or being too negative.
My concern with all of these additions, is what is getting taken out? For the past few years they have taken features out, from Season mode to Online Franchise.
With the additions of team re-branding. Im worried about loosing some spots for alternate uniforms and retro uni's. It took us so long to get to the point where we are at now with the amount of Uni's we do have in the game. I would hate to loose them. Whether to Nike limitations or other added features.
I am concerned with the core of Franchise as well. With MTO getting added features and trade hub or whatever its called. I am worried about the dumbing down of the mode for the masses. I mean I know that the purpose is to get more people to play the game. That I am a dying breed of gamer is obvious and I know change is inevitable. But I would be lying if I didn't say that I had concerns.
Again, I am not trying to be mister negative or jumping on the I hate the wave of the future. Though I do hate the trends towards micro transactions and loot crates and such. But its Capitalism. That's the way things are going to be for a time. Everything is cyclical. But I do have concerns with this Franchise as a whole moving forward.
I am sure I will pick this up eventually. But I will certainly not pre order or pay extra to get it "EArly" (see what I did there) as I do not agree with this business practice at all. I will wait for certain folks here on OS to review gameplay and the modes. Hopefully post some video and such. But the YouTube influences and such are just garbage DD stuff that does not interest me at all. So they do not drive my purchase. If anything they detract from it.
I love and continue to play '19. If this is my last MLB The Show for a good bit, well I could be alright with that.Last edited by Bullit; 02-02-2020, 04:31 PM.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012
