Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
what about something like Inciarte and Yonder Alonso for Mike King?
Alonso has been raking in Triple-A and gives the Yankees a potential left handed power bat off the bench and some depth if Voit was to go down. Jordan Montgomery has been great for the Yankees in the back end of the rotation for the Yankees and while Severino is out for the season, Paxton is still about to come back, so King is more expendable.
If King is too much, what about Inciarte/Alonso for someone like Jonathan Holder? Or maybe a deal for Tyler Wade or Thairo Estrada?Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Looking to help the Jays make a deal affecting the future of their franchise at the deadline of 2020. They are 62-47 and pushing for the playoffs. As a young team, I want them to acquire someone with control, who could be a leader on their squad. I have narrowed in on Whit Merrifield as their main target, they currently have a weak CF and need production from that spot in the future.
Blue Jays get: Whit Merrifield (31 YO, ~61M Value, 1.8 WAR, .262/.317/.352, 5 HR, 6.5% BB, 12.7% K)
Royals get: Simeon Woods-Richardson (19 YO, ~40M Value, 70 OVR, Low A POT, AAA - 49.0 IP, 2.94 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 2.53 FIP, 9.18 K/9, 3.12 BB/9, 0.37 HR/9), Gabriel Moreno (19 YO, ~12M Value, 68 OVR, Mid B POT, AAA - 188 AB, .213/.266/.277, 0 HR, 6.4% BB, 20.6% K), Miguel Hiraldo (19 YO, ~10M Value, 66 OVR, Low B POT, AAA - 155 AB, .271/.331/.394, 1 HR, 7.1% BB, 17.2% K)
Reasoning: Whit has spent most of his career playing for a losing team, he is fed up and wants to move to a winner. He would spearhead the resurgence of the Blue Jays. Woods-Richardson would be the headliner in this deal, obviously his value is not as high in real life, but I believe that he has pitched himself into the top 26-50 P category. Other than that, the Jays also give up two young pieces that have potential to be starters one day.
Trying to estimate if this deal is enough for the Royals, would love to hear thoughts from both sides of the deal (Jays and Royals fans). Thanks in advance for any feedback!
Looks like it’s a fair deal from both prospectives. Maybe add a reliever going back to Toronto in the deal and make it a little bigger?

Sooooo.... Pedro Alvarado? Trade simulator says it’s approved for Bote straight up, but maybe the Rays wouldn’t make that move with a couple prospects almost ready to come up?

Playing with the Giants and willing to take on Wil Myers contract in order to snag a top prospect. Having a hard time putting together a deal since both teams are in the division. Anyone have ideas?? Thanks in advance
Edit : Giants have plenty of money coming off the books at the end of 2020. Padres don’t have any serious injuries. They are not at the top of the standings but I know they really want to dump Myers salary to be ready for the offseason.Last edited by jdiaz891; 04-12-2020, 02:43 PM.Comment

If I were the Rays, I would decline this. I have the likes of Wander Franco, Lucius Fox, Daniel Robertson, Kevin Padlo, Vidal Brujan, and of course, Willy Adames either at the MLB level or coming up soon.

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Even if Rays aren't doing well in 2020 season, all players are locked in for multiple seasons and they wouldn't just give up a player like Alvardo.
Not saying he's a top relief pitcher but at same time it makes no sense to make a deal with Cubs who can't offer much.
The only player Rays could use from Cubs in CounterasComment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Currently going into year one of my Ray's franchise and all spring training Oliver Drake has been underperforming and with the bullpen as a whole not the greatest (based on the TrueSim rosters I downloaded) Im considering making some moves before the season begins. Now I don't make many trades but looking at the Rangers bullpen they have a few guys I'm interested in. So for reference, Drake is currently a 66 overall, A potential and to get a combination of Rafael Montero (74 overall) and Luis Gracia (72 overall) who are both B potential that's all they want. I'm shocked as I don't think that's a fair trade at all but thought I'd run this one by your guys. They were also winning to give me Garcia and Juan Nicasio (70 overall) for Drake as well. May just throw in some nobody prospects to get either trade done but again just want to know what it would really take to make either trade go through realistically.

Interesting, drake is dominant it mine. I’m trying to make the bullpen lights out and am looking at Serathony Dominguez...
He is currently Closing for the Phillies with a plus 4 era, what would it take to get him?
The Phillies are in the hunt so I guess it would need to be a decent package

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Need some help deciding a trade proposal so here’s my background:
Using RidinRosters... 2020 season nearing end of April
I’m sitting at 19-6 as Atlanta. Good for 4 games up in the NL East. The Braves are a solid squad this year, and through 25 games my pitching has been superb. My Team ERA is sitting just below the 3.00 mark. Offensively, we started off pretty slow, only scoring over 4 runs in a game once through 10 games. Luckily, we’ve since picked it up.
The problem lies within the bottom of my lineup. My guys down there have been a little below serviceable level with the exception of a guy or two. I’m looking to upgrade my RF spot as right now I’m platooning Adam Duvall and Ender Inciarte who are doing fine as a platoon. However, I want another guy who can put some runs on the board with one swing.
Here’s what I’m thinking.. I trade for an OF that has some years of control, and most likely let Ozuna walk this offseason since he’ll be asking for above a Qualifying Offer I’m sure.
Then by next year I should have an outfield of Acuna, Trade Aquiree, Pache/Waters
The player I’m looking into most at the moment is Kyle Schwarber. 26 YO, 1 yr/7m contract. Roughly 2 years of control left.
Being it’s only nearing May, I won’t give player stats thus far since it’s such a small sample size.
I mocked up a trade on Baseball Trade Values and this is what I got
I’m thinking I may need to add one more guy in to make it totally fair. Some background on the two guys there look like this :
Muller: High Velo 22 YO Minors SP Career 3.03 ERA 9.3 K/9 also an outstanding 0.5 HR/9
Trey Harris: 24 YO Minors OF Career BA. .317/.366 Last year| .876 OPS (Also edited his potential Pre-Franchise from C to a B-)
Again, I feel like I need one more guy in here to make it a fair deal. I’m thinking maybe Ynoa or Tarnok.
Using the Player Value formula(if I did it right), Schwarber is sitting at a 9.4M value which I find low I believe.

I just traded for schwarber and gave SP Oviedo, 1B Bauers and SP Logan Allen. On the game Allen and Oviedo are A prospects and bauers is a B. Game said I gave too much. I’m curious to the response you get on yours. That’ll help me gauge mine

What would it take to get Jesse winker from the reds to the Indians? His in game value seems very low

Interesting. I’m using force trades so I can undo any dumb trades the CPU may make. So if I get a good answer here I’ll make that trade regardless of The Show’s interest meter.
