Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
It's a tough one as if Cleveland are trading Clevinger it means they are going full rebuild, so the Yankees more valuable disposable assets (Frazier and Andujar) become pretty worthless to them. So it would mean giving up more of the Yankees super promising, incredibly young guys than they or you are probably comfortable with. The Yankees don't really have enough quality in the higher minors, you'd have to almost empty the farm, before it's really as valuable as it looks to be in a year or two. A shorter term option for a year or two, then a trade when those wunderkinds are more valuable seems a bit more doable imo.
You'd be looking at Dominguez, Garcia plus another top 5 prospect, which is an incredibly steep price.Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Hey all wondering what John Means value is at this point and some potential landing spots that make sense. Doing and Orioles Rebuild and going to trade anything worth value away to start for prospects they are so many players away that one or two guys with value wont help now is my thinking. Any potential trades for other pieces would be much appreciated as well.Comment

Why trade him? He’s only 26.

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Hey everyone, looking for some advice on a trade i'm trying to pull off in my franchise.
The Rockies are 65-43, leading the West. However, they desperately need some pitching help for their postseason run. Jon Gray is out for the year, the bullpen is a mess, and their lineup can only carry them so far.
The Cubs, on the other hand, are 54-53, 12.5 GB of the Brewers. At this point, they would like to shed as many expiring contracts as possible to get value.
Rockies get: Jose Quintana (2.1 WAR, ~18 M Surplus), Brandon Morrow (1.3 WAR, ~8 M Surplus)
Cubs get: Ryan Rolison (22 YO, 65 OVR, High B POT), Grant Lavigne (20 YO, 59 OVR, Mid B POT)
Let me know what you guys think!Last edited by cubsgocontinental23; 04-05-2020, 10:49 AM.Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
This is kinda tough because JD is such an elite hitter but doesn’t have much value because his contract and he’s a DH. The website has his value at 8.9. You’ll have to include Jordan Zimmerman for salaries to work which is ok because it gives Boston another SP and he’s on his last year. Maybe something like Zimmerman, Daniel Norris and a pitching prospect like Alex Faedo?
Honestly not sure about this one but I thought I’d try to help you. Boston gets out of JDs contract and takes on one similar in Zimmerman but just for 1 year. Norris and Faedo give them two young pitching arms which they need.Comment

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
So I am doing a Marlins rebuild. Yes...I know....wish me lot’s of luck.
I already know I am going to be a seller of veterans and buyer of prospects or maybe some younger guys on 26 man rosters whom other teams maybe moving on from.
What should be my expectations in terms of return dealing to contenders for guys like:
Corey Dickerson
Jonathan Villar
Matt Kemp
Jesus Aguilar
Francisco Ceverali
Matt Olsen
I know...really lower level veterans but there is some useful talent there fora team looking to bolster their bench or fill in a for a key injury.
This is going to be tough sledding. Drafting well will be the ultimate key.....but I gotta squeeze something from this lot.
It also makes you wonder how fleeced we were for guys like Realmuto and YellichNow Playing on PS5:

Riley or Soroka will have to be in any deal if the Braves get Arenando. Possibly both

Re: Official MLB 20 the Show Trade Discussion Thread
Since Bryant is on his last year before free agency I’d like to complete a trade early for Bryant and extend him in season.
I’m the Phillies and am looking to build a package around Stott and Eflin if possible.
Looks doable according to the calculator, but I certainly don’t want to underpay and am wondering what the forum says.Comment
