I bailed on '21 after being a loyal Show guy for years and years.

But this version is exceptional. Armor and others are tight when they say that Franchise is fun this year because of the 'on the field' experience.

The mode still needs some love especially in Scouting. But if you play all or most of the games, it's back to being a very enjoyable experience. Between the gameplay and presentation, games have never felt fresher and more realistic. All the different stats and overlays are awesome. Not to mention the much better score ticker at the bottom. The immersion level in these games are at an all-time high for me.

Oh, I'm for sure getting older, no doubt about that. I'm 42 years young. Old enough to have seen pretty much every sports video game ever, and old enough to be able to reflect and admit that I act foolishly at times. I'm pretty sure I'm one of OS's longest-standing members.

I'll be 48 soon and I feel like I'm chasing that feeling of an awesome franchise experience that I would have thought we would have had by now in all sports games. I feel like I've seen it all as well, but have experienced what I have thought we would be be playing by now. High Heat baseball (in my mind) remains my favorite baseball game, followed by The Show, and MVP Baseball. The Show is incredible, but the tiny yearly improvements have left it stale.

Been playing the Show since 06. It makes me laugh how people complain about the game especially most of the diamond dynasty players. Most of us have been playing the game longer than they have been alive.

I'm old school and like playing offline franchise. Played 22 a bit and impressions so far are it's ok. I like the new commentary but they need to add more commentary about season stats and add more commentary so they don't say the same lines as much. People are right they need to improve the grass.

But I will tell you that they nailed the hitting and fielding. I have never seen as much variety of hits as this year and it's great. I also love the fielding as outfielders no longer gobble up balls hit in the air. I've seen a few that they couldn't get to or it hit their glove and dropped for a hit, love it.

Loving how the commentary takes a break and you can hear the sounds of the stadium which is great. I hope they add in all gear that they had last year. One other thing I noticed is that if you get a hit sometimes well most of the time second or third base is either gray or black, hope they fix that glitch. But honestly this is the best mlb I have ever played and I have been playing since 06. Like I said it's a great game but these diamond dynasty kids like to complain about online crap. They should of played 06 if I remember correctly you couldn't even get online and there wasn't updates or patches coming out to fix the game issues.

If they fix the grass textures, add a little more commentary and add more equipment this game would be legendary. From a player of the show since 06 when it all began.

Playing on Xbox series X . Man if they put it on pc omg modders would make the game unreal. If you see what they have done with 2k basketball
Modding on pc. Imagine what the pc modders would do with mlb the show omg, I can only hope and imagine wow!

People complain about the silliest thing. They don’t realize 06 had the ball going THROUGH outfielders…

Six days in, and I still haven't run across anything that I'd point out as a glaring negative or thing that needed a patch.

Flat out, the game is an absolute blast to play.

Well I did see a glitch in franchise. Second game of the year a batter came up and it said stats for last 10 games. Also saw the team lineup screen pop up during a franchise game 4th game of the year and it said team stats for the last 10 games and they said it's been a rough year but the team is winning games now 2nd game of the year. So there are many glitches, but I enjoy the gameplay.
