This franchise has to take another step man. The update is negligible imo.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Finally the announcers just call them the The Angeles Angels.

I don't like that I couldn't have Ohtani DH while he was the SP.
There was an animation where Rendon tied his shoes before stepping into the box but there were no shoeleaces and he had on a foot guard so that was weird.

I couldn't seem to find my throwing preference that I have been using for years.

I hit back to back HR and the new announcers didn't acknowledge it.

Overall though, I like what I heard from them.

I use analog pitching and it seemed a little tougher than 21.
I saw some kind meter next to the team names. I assume that is like momentum or something as I haven't been reading up on all the new additions.

I liked the new overall look of the score box.

I tried out Diamond Dynasty and was still given the big tutorial. Why? Can't SDS see that I have been playing DD for a long time now? Wish there was an option. Oh well.

Pitchers STILL have to bat in DD. Why oh why SDS?

        I am liking the soundtrack.
Will start checking out other stuff.

I popped 4 achievements in my first game so that was cool.
Got another one for creating a DD team.
I think Singleton is the only one to really acknowledge multiple HRs in a row, noticed it when I do the instant replay vs CPU

Not a big deal but I just noticed the universal profile only tracks my daily gaming.

I’ve been playing for 6 days now and it says I only have an hour and a half in franchise and 33 minutes in DD.

I noticed today that MLB Network is no longer in the game which is kind of a bummer to me as ot made the game feel more like real broadcast.

Overall I like the game a lot, it has never played so smooth before as I can tell. Stat cast kind of pops up more than I would like it to, but it’s cool. Contrary to what a lot of people are saying I really like the new commentary. It’s fresh and sounds more like real life. I love the new Medium camera so I hope they don’t change it back to the more zoomed out look.

I’m a gameplay guy so the game to me is always top notch. It’s just the little things that don’t change that bug me such as using the same exact fielding views for years, I don’t know why they don’t add new ones. Or more dynamic fielding cameras. It’s so boring after all these years.

I don't know about anybody else but full games seem to take quite a bit longer to play. Each game feels like a playoff game with the crowd and improved atmosphere.

So I’m guessing the batter’s lighting bug is still in the game ? Anybody else experiencing it? It’s so distracting when playing day games

                Ex.
                - batter is ready at the plate
                - CPU pitcher selects pitch
                - lighting and graphics fidelity change brightness immediately on the batter and sand

I decided not to buy it because I, too far into and heavily invested in my 21 franchise. That said, I have Gamepass so I downloaded it and gave it a spin. I like the new presentation but it’s disappointing to see no graphical upgrades. I love the fact that default HOF hitting and pitching are better than last year, pitching is especially harder which I like.

Playing on All-star for both pitching and hitting. Using pretty much default sliders with fielder tweaks. I do find that most of the runs come on home runs. It seems difficult to manufacture runs and I don't see many innings with multiple singles or doubles to push across 2, 3, or 4 runs. Seeing a lot of solo and 2 run homers by both CPU and me.

                    Turn power down? Wind?

I would start by maybe lowering power one click and then increasing solid hits by one click and see what happens.

I had this issue in '20 at launch, where it seemed the majority of runs came via the homerun and this is the method I used, as much as I hate adjusting sliders and the game balanced itself out.

I have both the PS5 and XSX, been playing the show on the XSX since it was relased with the upgrade to play early, I just splurged and bought the PS5 version last night and I'm not surprised that it plays better and looks better on the PS5.

Ok...I've waited to ask this question as I wanted to get games under my belt to "confirm" but is anyone else feeling as though hitting has become "powerless"?

I don't know how to describe it, but it seems that ever since update 1.02 hitting has become deadened. I've played 30+ games since the patch and hitting feels/seems different than before it. I know 1.02 didn't address anything in this regard, but man it sure feels different.

Its like solid contact is off and everything is bloop, popup, lazy fly, or weak ground ball, for both myself and the CPU. This is on default Legend with zone hitting and meter pitching like always. The past several games both teams have combined for 10 hits or less and 5 runs or less. Its crazy. I just finished a series in Cincinnati where the scores were 2-1, 1-0, and 3-1. The series before that with the Marlins same type of results.

I don't know, its really starting to bug me. I know I can alter sliders to try to help, but as its known, I hate doing this because I feel as though I'm trying to "force" certain outcomes and then it becomes a never ending process.

Anyways, wanted to get others thoughts on the subject and see what everyone else is experiencing.

I played last night and didn't notice this. (HOF, classic pitching, directional). I plan on playing a game today sometime and I'll keep an eye on it when I do.

Absolutley not. I get all types of hits, from bloopers to rocket-linedrive with some bomb here and there. The balance and variety are really spot on. Low score games can happen and it's a good thing. I'm playing on HOF, zone hitting and meter pitching.
