Playing on Series X, on an LG CX. I went in expecting something very similar to 21, and that’s how I feel…mostly. I will say although there’s definitely no big graphical leap between 21 and 22 (and I didn’t expect one), 22 does seem to look a little more sharp. The gameplay feels nice and smooth, which is obviously a great thing. I’ve never even tried for trophies/achievements in sports games because a lot of them are tied to modes I never play, but this game has a really easy list. I’m at 980 gamerscore with only one more chievo to go. So even though it’s only been a few days, and I know I won’t play this anywhere near how much I used to play The Show, but 22 feels like a solid game overall. I’m glad I didn’t have to buy it to play it, thanks to Game Pass. But I think if I did buy it, I wouldn’t regret it like I maybe originally thought I would in that scenario. Fun game, and now we get real baseball back tomorrow, what more can you ask for haha.

A double in the gap gets less of a cheer from the crowd than a dropped third strike.. they don’t even react when the home player crosses the plate for a run! I don’t understand the crowds sounding great this year, am I playing the same game?!

Is it possible for you to share your opinion of the crowds/audio without the condescending remarks at those who have said they enjoy/like it?

              Damn....

Look at NBA2K22 the game is 60fps in gameplay but replays and after basket interactions are all 30fps

On the show it is not 30fps it is mostly 45 to 50fps which is not a awful to look at as NBA2k

Madden 22 in fidelity mode is 60fps gameplay and 30fps everything else.

Last year I would use QUICK MANAGE in a sac bunt situation. So this year gonna try it myself…runner on second….my pitcher bunts a chopper down the 3rd baseline…..perfect. refreshing. No more QUICK MANAGE on the bunts.

This. It’s all about perspective, and this is a great perspective.

Not using the DL in the NL. I’ve got Nelson Cruz in RF. He can turn an opponents single into a double, no problem.

If you’ve been playing this franchise from the beginning like I have, you’ll know what I mean when I say this: this is basically the dream-come-true version of the early games. So it might not blow your mind and yes it might be a little “samey” even after all this time, but the culmination of all the little tweaks and upgrades since 2007 or so …. I mean this is it. Climax time.

Not gonna get into a whole list of pros and cons, and certainly not gonna start up a list of complaints. Vets of the series know what to expect, more or less. The best iteration of this game by a wide margin imo.
                            Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.
